"Mon Dieu, what a pigsty." was the first words uttered when the tavern was reopened for the first time.
She breezed in wearing a well worn pair of jeans and a t-shirt. It was clothes she did not mind getting dirty at all. She was followed by a small group of kids she had bribed to help her kids.
"Alright, we start with the main taproom. You and you, help haul the ashes from the fireplace and bring in new wood."
She was surveying the taproom and set two of the young kids to sweeping. Another two she set to righting and cleaning tables and chairs. She herself set to opening and cleaning windows to allow for more light.

The work was going slowly as she sank more of her own funds into restarting the Helm.
Each day she would hire some of the neighborhood children to help her out. The little bit of coin to be used as they would. Each day another section was cleaned and made ready. Some sections she had to call in help from local laborers.
It was coming along slowly and never did she feel more alone than this. Every days she paid her helpers, and then sent them off to their homes. She would then continue to cleaning just a little bit more of the Tavern.
