Overlord Grant

Before the WLT comes up, and I am unable to give this out, I'd like to go ahead and announce whom I'd like to give the Grant to.

As she's stood beside me on countless occasions, both inside the ring and out, I've decided she would be the best suited for the Grant at this time.

She is Alais d'Arma d'Nitesong

This challenge is valid and may proceed. In addition, as this is a challenge against a Renegade Baron who is already under challenge, it is placed in a Queue to be fought following the initial challenge.

Should Anubis fail in his defense, the right to challenge shall be returned to Alais, and she shall have 7 days to issue challenge once more.

Should Anubis be successful, this challenge shall then proceed normally.

This is not an Overlord Grant Challenge.

Alais is already a Warlady, and thus does not need an Overlord Grant to press challenge.

Overlord Tass, you still may hand out the Grant to any duelist that is lower than the rank of Warlord, and this challenge is still valid.

As it was I who gave Alais the grant, an in doing so, overlooked the new rule of Warlords being free to challenge at any time, I see no reason why she should be pulled into this rules issue (though, there is no official rule that says it cannot be given to a Warlord).

So, as I gave it, I shall leave it. I do not believe in giving something only to take it away. This shall be my mistake, and if Alais so wishes to continue with her challenge, or if she chooses not to, I shall stand by her decision.

Either way, the grant has been given, or wasted, as the rules see fit.

After confering with G and Tass, it has been decided that the Overlord Grant was handed out incorrectly, and thus wasted this cycle.

The challenge is still valid.

Just to let you know, Anubis threatened to "destroy your life" if either you or Guill did not agree to his proposition to duel him in succession on one night. Rescinding would likely be even worse in his eyes. You might want to reconsider your decision with that in mind.
