Morriah's Story Part one

The young female catling rushed through the unknown woods of Catana. She knew they were following her and that she must do something with the treasure in her arms as soon as she could. The only advantage she had over her chasers was that SHE knew these woods, but on the other hand, she couldn't fly and they could.

Seeing a hidden cave, she ducked into it and went as far down into it as she would dare. There, in the farthest room in the cave, she stops and removes the bundle from her arms onto a crevesed 'shelf' to do the hardest thing she would ever do; and possibly her last.

With one final glance to her treasure, she turned and ran out the cave and in the opposite direction. It was getting harder to see where she was going with her vision blurring more and more. Feeling the presence of the hunters, she speeds up only to be caught up in the air by a huge claw the next second.

Knowing she was about to die for her treasure, she didn't fight to get free and was slung into the side of a rocky cliff. She hit hard and fell to the bottom. Her attacker coming to rest before her and his followers to suround her as she stood up to face them with honor.

The man in front of her was huge; standing at well over seven feet with an even bigger wing span. His cold red eyes, staring at her with a purpose she knew too well. When he opened his mouth to speak smoke came out in streams.
"Where is the inpurity! You know the laws in even your race!"
Far away from you or anyone else that might distroy it!! Now you wil have to truly hunt and I pray never find!"
"You have decided your own fate! SO BE IT!"

Knowing what was coming next, she morphed into her full blown Tiger skin. Knowing she would fail but not going down without a fight, she pounced at the leader with fangs ready and claws out-stretched.

Just as expected, the rest of the group jumped on her, tearing her to shreads..........She never had a chance.

A little while later, in the cave, a strange mystical creature found the bundle and looked inside. There it found a small infant that looked like a catling but with black feathered wings and strange markings on its face. Instantly the creature fell in love with her and turned to take her home.
