Challenge for the Tower of Water

To the parties in which this missive involves:

I have found my experiments of late to be tending towards that of
steam energy, and find myself in need of its power. Whereas I
personally find the element of Water the most detestable of the
four, I must deliver a challenge for the Tower of Water. Hopefully
this challenge with go smoothly unlike my previous attempts.

Xanth, and if a surname is needed, then Van Bokkelen will suffice.

The Tower itself delivered the message, carrying it on a shimmering wave to the highest room. A frown crossed her face as she read - she knew of this one, and there was something about him she could not quite place that unnarved her. Summoning a quill to her, she penned a reply:

Your challenge is accepted. I am to be found within the Tower walls during eventide, after 9 bells is struck. I hope to settle this very soon.

The Keeper and I have decided on this Tuesday (11/20) at 10 PM (EST). Vincent Smith has offered to officiate this challenge. I look forward to our impending battle.

All right ladies and gentlemen. This challenge took place on time and by the book, which made for a rare sight around these parts. Both combatants didn't want to joke around, so my wit was sorely underappreciated. It only took two duels to decide the winner, and both matches played out in exactly the same way. Xanth scored first, Wyh ties it back up, they go back and forth for a few rounds, then Wyh hits the finisher to win both duels by a score of 5-3.5.
