Warlord Tournaments!

Post by Billy »

My latest inquiry into the DoS histories was to gather all the information I could find about the Warlord tournaments. Hopefully, with some help, I'll be able to put all the results on the histories page, but for now, here are some quick facts.

Please note that these do not include the Tourney for the Nine, where the first nine rings were given holders.

-There have been 49 tournaments and only three of those did not have a second place prize.
-The most prizes offered in a single tournament was 6. That happened twice. Once when the newer four rings were added and the other when there was just five open rings.
There have been 40 different tournament winners.
-The most tournament wins:
Skyler, Lucian - 3
Tasslehofl, Tarl Cabot, Kaprielle, Cletus, BRK - 2
-The most prizes won in a tournament:
Cletus-6
Leo De Lorenzo-4
Cassius, Daegarth, Lucian, Skyler-3
-Skyler is the only one to win two in a row.
-The only two to refuse prizes were Harris and BRK

The rest of the tournament winners (One tournament I couldn't find placements for, so either Dirk, Ian, or Devon also have a first place win, or a second in Ian's case):
Valmion
Harvest
Ian
Damien Cetran
Baphe
Daegarth
Overborg
Morgan
Seamus
Cassius Maxim
Dexter
Jesse
Leo De Lorenzo
Sartan
Secondat
Dustin
G'nort
Ralez
Xeric
Blindfiold Proxy
Andur
Max Blue
Bode
Kaja
Ekthbjlgke
Gork
Damien Mortis
Maria
Tareth
Spike
Vanion
Chris

Almost makes me want to retire my ring and try for another WL Tourney prize.

Of course, I think I've only ever been in three or four WL Tournies as KW and maybe two as Drake.

Tournies always started too early when I was playing Drake... and KW has been a title holder for two very long stretches of time.

I guess I'll wait until I lose the title in a challenge... retiring isn't my style.

Goon won one? There was a second place finish that led to the OL title, but I think I got through the winner's bracket and then lost twice to Lucian. I don't think there was a tournament victory in there.

Whoops, you're right. Altara's post listed your prize first but never made mention of the placements, but after reading over the history entries, Goon was runner up.

Question..

I know it wasn't a strict WLT, but what about the Tag-Team one where you had to have a WL as a partner?

This was only a quarterly warlord tournament list. I'll get all the special tournaments next.

I gotcha.. Wasn't sure what type of WLT that one was (special vs. quarterly)

Cass refused the OL shot he won as a prize in the tournament when he took 2nd place after Dex.
