The Scarab and the Spider

Post by Vasvrae »

The Drowess had been out and about of late. A few visits here and there as well as some business venture to keep herself occupied. Surface life was becoming less of a threat and the outdoor bouts in Battlefield Park were proving both soothing and mildly profitable to her ego. The Iron Fists Team was, obviously, far less than amusing.

Time spent in nearby markets and places of less than reputable esteem had the Drowess hot on the trail of the Egyptian she so loved to pester. No more than three visits to the local slave markets had left the Drowess in rather good standing. There were two slave girls who served at the markets who were ordered to deliver messages of the Drow's greetings to the Egyptian should he happen to visit. The third visit ended up with a rather odd sort of end and the incorporation of a human hostage and a savage sea elf taking up residence in her suite at the W. Heights Inn.

A passing glance at the corkboards scattered through the various dueling venues only encouraged this game of cat and mouse she was enjoying, rather one-sidedly, of late. The problem with having previously visited the Egyptian's home was the fact that she had been transported there in a semi-unconscious state. This made directions to the abode less than possible. Still, the Drowess had taken up another idea. She truly had no want to visit the place herself and, instead, hired a page to send the scented letter along himself without needing to give her an address. Thank goodness for a reputable mailing system.

A lovely little cloak pin of silver entricately woven into the pattern of a Black Widow spider was dropped into the envelope and the corners of the papers smugged with scented oils of lavender and jasmine. Even though these were not the Drowess' favorites, they were pleasant none the less.

The upcoming challenges were noted on the Drow's calander and she would also make a mental note to have something spun up in flattering designs to make the experience of the event that much more exciting. In the meantime, the Drowess decided to gather up her things and head out whenever the sun started set and twilight set in. It was time to make a visit to this new Temple in Rhy'Din and the High Priest whose motives she was still trying to understand.

Chaos and diabolical schemes were in her blood and the socialite phase she was going through seemed to be subsiding to let the true Drow shine through.
