Archmage Tournament

On Monday, May 8th at 9pm ET, a tournament will be held to determine what mage is worthy of challenging the Archmage for his title. Anyone who is listed at a Mage in the rankings as of that Monday evening is able to enter.

Archmage Tournament, Preliminary results:

Four duelists did step forth to participate in the Archmage Tournament preliminaries:

The tournament was held in the pre-indicated round robin format. The results are as follows:
First round:
Topaz def. Cory, 5-3.5, in 11 rounds.
Vincent def. Vanion, 5.5-3.5, in 15 rounds.

Vincent 1-0, Topaz 1-0, Cory 0-1, Vanion 0-1

Second round:
Vincent def. Cory, 5-3, in 6 rounds.
Topaz def. Vanion, 5.5-2, in 12 rounds.

Vincent 2-0, Topaz 2-0, Cory 0-2, Vanion 0-2
Cory and Vanion were effectively eliminated.

Third round:
Topaz def. Vincent, 5-4, in 12 rounds.

Topaz 3-0, Vincent 2-1, Cory 0-2, Vanion 0-2

And thus Topaz Eludes did emerge the victor. The challenge match against Will Wulfson is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday at 10:00 P.M. EDT.

Oh, by the way, I won again.

For the first duel Topaz and I slugged it out for 18 rounds, before ending it two rounds short of my goal of 20, with a score of 6.5-5.5, me.

For the second, I blazed to an early lead of 4-1.5, in 6 rounds, then choked and let Topaz come back to win it 5-4, in 12.

For the third and final duel, I got my act together and took care of Topaz in 6 short rounds. 5-5-2.
