I guess I did a terrible thing. NJ#5

No one told me I shouldn’t have done it. I didn’t mean any harm. Everything just got all mixed up and I was in such a hurry. Then when I was tying so hard to fix it somehow it ended up getting worse!!

All I did was ask for some help. That was it. How can such a little thing have caused such a huge problem? That is what I want to know. It doesn’t weigh more than a few ounces at most! It is beautiful and did gain a whole lot of attention which was what it was meant to do.

You’d have thought there had been a nine-year drought though the way Toby was carrying on when I showed it to him and told him about it. Jean hadn’t carried on that way. He seemed mighty pleased and really enjoyed it. It was intended as a little something for him in the first place so I couldn’t ask him to begin with!

Luckily Jean wasn’t there when it all began or I’m thinking there would have been blood spilled. Steel offered to get me replacements until he found out I couldn’t pay for them right away then mentioned something about disappearances working really well. Being me I thought he was talking about murder and informed him I was no killer.

I should have known better. Sound carries really well in the common room even when it is crowded a fact I had forgotten as I blurted that out in defense of my moral character. I didn’t want anyone to die over this tiny mistake in judgement. I just wanted to make everything all right again. Basically get myself off the hook that was currently holding me ten feet off the floor!

Sid offered to see if the Bloods had any of the same kind of weapons stashed somewhere which was great. Tass offered me the money. Steel was still set on a disappearance. Toby apparently had heard enough and headed back to where I was behind the bar.

To make this all even worse somewhere in the confusion apparently I hadn’t thanked him for getting me the weapons in the first place. Did I foget to tell you these weapons I'm talking about had been stolen in the first place? I had been so worried about Charna’s disappearance that when he offered them and had them delivered to me it slipped my mind.

I can understand why Toby would be upset if I were in his shoes I might be too but he didn’t have to yell at me right there in front of God and everybody. By the time he had enough of my trying to get the money to pay him back or the weapons to replace the ones I had sold and started yelling at me Jean and Elijah had arrived.

They both cut loose with verbal barrels blasting. Elijah being the man that runs the Circle D for me now days and Jean, the love of my life, they didn’t take kindly to him raising his voice to me. Although I must tell you that in Elijah’s case it wouldn’t have mattered what female was being yelled at he would have stepped in. Elijah is just that way.

So now I feel I owe Toby an apology he is probably not going to get because I don’t want to get yelled at again and the moral of this story, you good for nothing polecat smelling book, is when you have a wedding to go to borrow the money for your dress from your TDMF and do not wait until the day of the wedding to go buy it!
