That will speed things along nicely. I didn't anticipate meeting with him until afterwards.
Oh, and G'nort, please make sure your eye candy is in attendance for the evening. It appears the Overlord left a gift at my home which now bears her name, and I'd certainly enjoy being there to watch her receive it.

If you're referring to the remodelling of the landscape of which you and your wife reside, well, that was all me.
In fact, everything involved with the evening in question, the entire credit would go to me.
Please don't give the Overlord the credit which is completely due to me. I hate it when others steal my thunder.

The structural damage wasn't very impressive. Buildings can be rebuilt and the foundation of the estate wasn't damaged.
However, the threat on the lives of my innocent children is unforgivable. Everything until then was simply business and written off as an inexpensive loss.
Anyone you've ever held close to you would do wise to watch their backs a little closer while in this city. And that includes you, Charlotte, as these threats were made directly in your name. Your first death was an unfortunate event by the hands of those annoying brats. Your second will hopefully be more painful.

I might have been coerced into feeling a slight bit guilty, and perhaps have a slight tug on my heart strings, had you mentioned alongside all of that an apology or condemnation of your wifes actions against me which prompted my revenge.
Or perhaps you forgot that she had set my famous tavern ablaze, no small feat, mind you. A tavern that holds many memories, and also guests. Innocent guests who have nothing to do with our fued. Perhaps it was forgotten that I, also, spend many nights there as a second residence, and that act of arson could also be construed as an attack upon my life.
Much like the fact that I was not at my tavern the night your withered. hulk of a wife attacked my properties, I was well aware of the fact that you and your children were not present. Unlike your family, I do not set out to harm innocents.
As to your threat to those close to me, be warned. Should any harm come to them, even an ingrown toenail, the repurcussions shall be more than you or your witch will be prepared to deal with.
Regardless of how people may view me, I am not one to be taken lightly.

I do not claim to have anything to do with the bombing or what followed. Although, my old friends have disowned me, I do still consider them friends and some of them did die that evening. After all the loyalty I showed Nausikaa in my lifetime, I had hoped for a bit more in return.
However, you forget, Cletus, that I have far less to lose in death than you. In the event of your death, you will go to hell and, speaking on experience, it is not up to par with the lavish lifestyle you currently live. In the event of my death, I will merely be free of Nausikaa's incessant threats on my second life.
Name the place and be prepared. This time I will fight like hell to take as many people with me as I possibly can.

On a fine night, January 31st at 10:30 p.m. (eastern) Cletus Ganderfald pressed his challenge against Tareth Thorn for the title of Overlord. Due to the Test of Honor, this was a Winner Take All showdown, with Cletus coming out on top.
Tareth named Charlie Jericho as his lady, with his sister Caedia as his second. He did not fly colors nor flag.
Cletus chose Magnus as his second.
DUEL Shard (9:36:27 PM): Round One. Tareth nails the dancing Cletus. (lc/f ss, 1-0 Tareth)
DUEL Shard (9:38:48 PM): Round Two. Looks like they wanted to play duck, duck, goose. (f du/f du, still 1-0 Tareth)
DUEL Shard (9:41:00 PM): Round Three. Tareth says "DENIED!" (f lp/th, 2-0 Tareth)
DUEL Shard (9:42:53 PM): Round Four. Four is definitely a good number here. (f du/lc, 2-1 Tareth)
DUEL Shard (9:45:48 PM): Round Five. Cletus evens up the playing field by getting directly to the point. (hc/th, 2 All)
DUEL Shard (9:49:12 PM): Round Six. Tareth tries the same thing, only Cletus is ready for him. (th/f cp, 3-2 Cletus)
DUEL Shard (9:51:46 PM): Round Seven. My favorite! The Ol' Slice N' Dice! (lc/hc, 4-3 Cletus)
DUEL Shard (9:56:21 PM): Round Eight. With a bit of a butt wiggle he must have learned from Kaja, Cletus takes the win! (f cp/f ss, 5-3 Cletus)

Take away the phantom, and one sees nothing - one admits that himself. Yet, take away seeing, and one sees a phantom - one forgets that.
