For real. I don't understand the appeal off dry, tough white meat.

Give me a bucket of fried chicken any day, even today. ;p

Ahh, but if the turkey is done right, it's not dry or tough. I know my turkey tonight is going to be very, very good.

KFC, however.. that sounds pretty good too... I wonder if they're open..

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.

For one of the few times in my life I am not going anywhere but staying home to myself on Thanksgiving. I did have some options to go hang out at other people's houses for thanksgiving, but decided last night not to go anywhere. And I tell you what, it sometimes is a lot more fun and enjoyable to stay at home. I got munchies and football to keep me entertained and where I want to sit and whatever I want to wear or not wear to my own confines. Plus I can get some stuff done without interruptions!

Being with family and friends is great on the holidays, but sometimes things seem forced or if things don't go exactly as people envisioned, then it gets all weird sometimes. Other times are fabulous memories. But to me, it's just another day, a day off of work,or if I do have to work getting paid double time for it. But regardless, I got football to watch.

And my Denver Broncos are playing this afternoon!

Happiest of Thanksgivings to one and all.

Still trying to figure out why for 2 people I do the traditional fixings... but hey, we get great left overs... and no dry turkey, it's moist and delicious, the winter squash, sage dressing, fresh cranberry chutney, and home made french bread, and when you think you can't poke anymore in, there's dutch apple pie with french vanilla ice cream.

It's a great day for doing not much more than eating. :)

I hope you all enjoyed your day as much as we did.

The Broncos won in one of the sweetest Thanksgiving football games I have seen in a while. Of it was a great day!

I hope everyone had a good time yesterday, and that those of us that travelled made it back safely. I just hope that none of you ended up with the surprise I had waiting for me in my driveway, namely enough snow to warrent my getting the snowblower out. :?

We pretty-much never get enough snow in the entire valley to warrant getting out snow shovels, much less a snowblower.

And on the exceedingly rare times it does snow... it never stays around more more than a day, usually less than a few hours.

And considering where we're at, we're lucky if it snows before February. But when it does. . .whoo boy. Do not go out on the roads. I can't stress this enough.

When, at the time, I and my little 3 cylinder Geo Metro four door can putter up a hillside where 8 SUV's were parked on the side of the road, I mean. . .sheesh.

Granted, I'm from the "great northwest". But still.

Happy holidays, folks. Whatever you may celebrate, let it be good, and merry, and without undue incident.
