Challenge to the OverBaker (Overlord)

Jewell Ravenlock and Michelle Montoya met on Sunday night to face off for the fate of Overlord mantle. Michelle would not give Jewell the opportunity without a fight and chose to issue a test of worthiness with her champion -- Lord Bile. The Baroness of Cadentia, Mallory Maeda, countered this test. Mallory and Bile faced off against one another, but it would be Mallory who secured Jewell's passage to duel against the Overlord after defeating Bile 5 - 4 in 14 rounds.

With the Test of Worthiness out of the way Jewell and Overlord Montoya dueled at last. After 9 rounds and at sudden death Jewell caught the sidestepping Michelle and ended her reign. The final score in Jewell's favor, 5 - 4 in 10 rounds

Congratulations Jewell and well tried Michelle.

Jewell fights under the Real RhyDin banner of black and gold. Her second is Baroness of Cadentia, Mallory Maeda. Her people of honor are the Real RhyDin 2019 team.

The Overlord fights under a banner of pure white. Standing as her second is the Warlord Bile. As for person, or persons, of honor -- she has chosen none.

The Real RhyDin team would like to reassure the dueling community and all fans that The Empress, current Diamond and 118th Overlord of the Duel of Swords, is out of mortal danger after the brutal attack she suffered following the Overlord Challenge against Michelle Montoya last night.

After a number of iron wounds, potentially fatal for her kind, were inflicted on her person within the rings, Ms. Ravenlock was stabbed in the back once the challenge match was over. The attacker has yet to be apprehended, and anyone with information regarding this attack is encouraged to come forward to the Real RhyDin PR Department or to one Ishmerai Ta'Neer in Little Elfhame.

The Empress is sure to make a full recovery and promises to see all her fans during the IFL Playoffs.
