Within the Kabuki school a small bound package rests atop a stack of soon-to-be graded papers at Mallory's desk. Within sits a journal of sorts bound by age worn leather. A small sticky note attached to the first page of the book reads:

This came into my possession and could've been sold for a pretty penny
but I think you'd appreciate it more. Pretty sure you can figure out what it is.

Text to Boss Mallory: Fighting season's over for the jotunn it's too warm for them in Coalhold and the Great Barrier's holding okay right now anyways so I got leave to come back here.
Text to Boss Mallory: I'm staying at the RDI even though I still have the corporate apartment in Seaside and I'm supposed to go back to work tomorrow but I'm really finding it hard to find the motivation to go.
