Excited to have an excuse to dress up and not work, Max would pop into the Governor’s Ball at some point after sunset (though this would always be tricky to tell via the sky in the Gloaming). Keeping hand in hand for most of the night with Alasdair, she was content to dance with him, snicker at shared puns and word plays and snack on all the delicious bites that were on the menu. Friendly waves and constant smiles were given to the hosts and guests as she spotted them throughout the evening.

"Whosoever loses Sunday's challenge must wear their most disliked article of clothing at the next big event. For me, it will be a kilt of some gussied up variety. For Rekah, it will be pants of some sort. During the challenge we may wear whatever we like, and afterward, at the as yet to be determined event, one of us must suffer indignity for its duration."

A bet is a bet, and Governor Driscol is a man of his word. At the Challenge for Dragon's Gate, he had agreed to a wager. Having lost the challenge and the wager, it was his solemn duty to make good on his word, and so he showed up to his own Ball dressed in a kilt!

He found a pretty good mask to pair with it, too!

(( I only made it three and a half hours before fatigue struck, but rest assured that Dris was there all night! Thank you to everyone who participated, both in the live event and by posting to this thread! Extra thanks to Rhys Germain and Mairead Harker for helping me craft, create, and co-host this event, too! ))

Rhys remained at Dris' side for most of the evening, greeting guests, chatting with friends, and eventually, taking his beau for a few turns around the dance floor.

He wore black and silver—trousers, that is.

(( Like my writing partner, I could only make it about three and a half hours, but Rhys was there all night, schmoozing until the last guest headed home. Thank you to everyone who participated in the live event and who has posted to this thread thus far. And thank you to Dris and Mairead Harker's players for all the work you put into the planning and co-hosting of this event. ))

((Super late, but Karma was there even if I couldn't be, and would have assuredly danced with any who asked and then some.))
