I was present to officiate the latest contest to decide who will be the ArchMage for the coming cycle! There were booms, and bangs! And other cool stuff.

The duels were as follows:

Olympus 1-1! These two start this challenge off in spectacular fashion, with Claire unleashing her rain of doom, as Jesse causes the skies to fall upon her! (NR/MS) 1-1
Olympus 1-2! The Archmage weaves a spell of protection! Jesse's sharp sending shatters right through it, however! (SH/FWB) 2.5-1 Jesse
Olympus 1-3! Claire unleashes an obscuring fog, but Jesse, shifting to ghostly form, is unaffected! (FF/FGF) 3.5-1 Jesse
Olympus 1-4! Jesse tries her own obscuring fog, and manages to halt the power of the Archmage's mighty bolt! (FMB/FFF) 4.5-1 Jesse
Olympus 1-5! Jesse tries to get away, but Claire decides now is the time to blast her! Or perhaps punch her, but same result. (NR/DP) 4.5-2 Jesse

Olympus 2-12! Jesse puts up an armoring spell, but Claire's fearful sending - touching? - manages to get through, just a little! (FT/AR) 4.5-4 Jesse
Olympus 2-13! Jesse's bringing down her rain of dectruction upon the Archmage! The Archmage is not where Jesse presumed her to be, however! (DP/MS) 4.5-4.5
Olympus 2-14! Claire sends something sharp toward Jesse - who sends a sorcerous bolt to halt it! (WB/MB) 5-4.5 Jesse
Olympus 2-15! Claire's displacement cannot get her out of range of Jesse's noxious odors! (DP/FF) 6-4.5 Jesse

Congratulations on your victory! I knew you could do it, even though I was not there to support you, I was there in spirit I assure you. Do I not call you President anymore, though? Or, is it now President Archmage or Archmage President? I basically need to know how you wish to be styled seeing as you have now been crowned the greatest magic user this miserable armpit of a town has ever known.

I'm so excited over this that I bought this pretty purple dress for your coronation party! Using Gren's credit card, of course. I was able to successfully get the lady on the phone to up that annoying credit limit we talked about and now I have pretty much free reign to buy whatever my heart desires.

So, I got you three Iron Maidens to store your enemies in until such a time as you wish to magically dispatch them. I think they will go really well with your decor.

Oh...right, about the party, if you don't mind could you not schedule it on a Tuesday, please? Reason being is that while I was shopping for the dress and the interrogation tools (you have GOT to see the dunking chair I got, it has spikes! Cool, right?) I also signed Anpu and I up for Tai Chi classes. Mousy had taught me all about it so I thought that was something we should do as a couple now that we're all official and he's relaxed his stance on Egyptian-only activities.

We're going skiing next month, but don't tell him because I want it to be a surprise! I just haven't had time to run it by him yet. I think he's going to be ecstatic! Every FOURTH Tuesday, however, we can bring a friend for free, so I hope you can drop by if you're not busy. If you show up on another night we're not there, just tell them to bill it to Gren's account. He's got the Super Duper Grand Tai Chi Master level account and it was ONLY four thousand gold a month!

Which, if you ask me, is a steal!

There was an accident with a bus that I have to talk to some nice man about. I think that's what they call them. It's the big things on wheels that hold lots of people and it carries them from one destination to another? You know because they're evolutionally stunted and can't teleport like you and I?

Yeah, well, apparently when one flips over in a busy intersection, killing everyone inside, and you're the only one around who is virtually unscathed, holding a sledgehammer and have a reputation for being in the WRONG place at the WRONG time, such as I ALWAYS am, they automatically think you did it.

So I need to set them straight on that because tonight's the night I go for my fangi-mani-pedi and if I'm late, I'll be so upset.
