Secondly, your comment proves my point that you just don't get it. Hydra's not really our thing. That doesn't really bother me since it requires being good at sports I don't really give a flying crap about. Dominating the ranks of the Swords is what I care about. We're damn good at that when we feel like it and I'm damn good at leading that sort of charge.

You want to prove you're a good leader, you want to prove your team is a tight force and not just a collection of decent duelists? Climb your way back up to the top after being knocked down. Until then you're not in my league as a captain.

Aren't Captains supposed to lead from the front? I guess the boards count as the front now instead of in the rings?

Whatever. It's my bad for posting my intent. Joku's just protecting a teammate. I apologize for what I said and I'd use the excuse of not feeling well as a reason why, but I bet Harris would make a "Time of the Month" joke or some other snide crap.

So let me do this again. Joku, let's work out the details and get this handled. You earned your chance to challenge and I'll respect that. Hopefully Rakeesh will see this as enough of a test and not test me if I get a chance to challenge him when this is over. :: Winking smiley face picture scribble. ::

Might as well throw this out there. Who feels like being a person of honor? Candy's already going to be my second, so that spot is filled.

Are you sure you're pregnant and not just full of hot air?

If she isn't.. Well, I have a sister who's a mage and more than willing to hook me up with proper equipment.. Give me 2 hours and I'll fix that for ya, Maria.

I guess this is why I prefer magic over Swords. Less drama.

How have I not spent my career leading from the front?

If you're talking about the Overlord title. It's never been my time. You wouldn't get this because you've never thought of anyone but yourself but being a captain isn't about finding groupies to help support your reign, it's about providing the right support to help your team succeed. My ability to support team members is my one redeeming quality. We all have one. Perhaps you should try finding yours.

Maybe once I'm done incubating the superior human growing inside of me, it'll be my time. You better believe that I will round the troops up when that day comes and if any of them dare give me the line Candy just gave King, there will be some nasty Crew-on-Crew violence.

Are you offering to impregnate me or inflate me with hot air? I don't know if I should be intrigued or concerned.

I want to like you, kid. I really do. But then you didn't bring your A game to the match against Jay when you really had a chance to prove a point to the Crew and now you're saying stuff like this. Let me explain something to you.

You call it drama, I call it fireworks. The politics and warring teams and the decades long grudges? That's exactly what makes this sport a million trillion times more interesting than magic.

And don't get on your high horse over the "drama" after dipping your toe into the shark infested waters of trash talking in the Arena. You either dive all in or you stay back with the kiddos wearing their life vests. Your outrage is ringing a little hollow.

I brought my A game to the match against Jay. But so did he. And you know what, Jay is a much better swords duelist then me. And you know what, the scoreboard reflected that.

Too the other bit of that, I have dived in and I really don't think I am going anywhere anytime soon, even if I don't do so well in the ring.

Wait. Wait. Wait.

Did this just become a love triangle? IS ANUBIS NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU, CHARLES?! DID YOU REALLY NEED TO INVOLVE JAY INTO YOUR SICK AND TWISTED LOVE PLOT?!

Nah, this is just a shot across the bow.
Please. In order to start a war, you need an real army. In order to fire shots, you need a real cannon. CoM has neither, just like all the others. We have more firepower in a single person than any team has combined. We don't have peers. We didn't have peers when we got together, and we don't have peers now. The only conceivable way for us to even have peers is when the spaceport techs find a way to clone all of us.

I'll show up Royal. If you quit all this whining and complaining.

Less drama, like, someone going bonkers and setting fire to half of Twilight Isle? Even after the Rakeesh debacle, I think I'll take political wheeling and dealing over that.

Career? Sure. Right now? Not so much. We’re getting the armchair general version of Maria Graziano. The one that wields a pen instead of a bat. I prefer the bat swinger, personally. Though maybe Fytco should make a new variant action figure until you realize that talking the talk is great, but it still requires walking the walk from time to time.

Also, my 19 titles pretty much qualify me as one of the few people that don’t require a team to be successful. I’ll send you my resume to allow you to gaze upon magnificence. If it doesn’t blind you it’ll give you something to do between watching Jay, bless his heart, flail cutely at Baronies in an effort to impress you.

All I've got to say to you, Harris, is that your baby's mama would rather do me than do you.

I win.

You haven't won anything else lately, so I'm happy to let you have that one.

I'm sorry. What have you won in the Arena recently? I think both of my barony titles are more recent than yours.

Your smack talk is more impressive in the Outback. It's too bad this corkboard isn't there.

I WIN AGAIN!
