~Keeper Tournament~

Due to the retirement of Farek as Keeper of Water, a tourney will be held to find a new keeper.

The tournament will commence Tuesday, August 9th, at 8:30 pm by the eastern clock. The tournament style will be selected based upon the number of entrants.

ALL RANKS are qualified to enter, including Apprentice, insofar their name appears on the last standings prior to the tournament. Should an Apprentice show him/her/itself worthy of being selected as the keeper through the tournament, he/she/it will thereby gain the rank of Enchanter, with WoL set to 3-0-0.

The prize for the tournament winner is: Keeper of Water.

Twelve stalwart souls began the tourney, with duelers registering right up to the start of the proceedings. Steven Barbarossa failed to appear. Tellius, Cory Havoik, and Random McChanse joined the list of those wishing to claim the Tower. The sands of the Isle were crowded with specators.

The first round saw the formation of the brackets and the second round saw Topaz, Azjah and Tellius all retiring from the competition. Damien, Anne and Sylus were the next to bid farewell to their hopes of attaining the tower, followed by Syous and Random.

So it was down to 4. Cory knocked Klint out of the running and Neo racked up a win against the as yet undefeated Vanion. Neo and Cory went at it next and though Cory had been the one to knock Neo into the losers bracket, it was Neo who knocked Cory out of the tournament.

So it came down to Neo, the heavy underdog, versus Vanion, the odds-makers favorite. Both had one loss so it was decided in a single remaining duel, and it was Vanion who emerged victorious.
