Colm stretched out on his rented beach chair, taking in the smooth rays of the sun from 30,000 feet. His casual rest was interrupted, however, as a quick movement far down the rainbow caught his astute senses.
"Halt!" shouted the leprechaun.
The figure did not halt.
"Halt!" shouted the leprechaun.
But the figure kept on truckin'.
"Simon says halt!" shouted the leprechaun.
The figure halted.
"Hehe. Simon says..." Colm scratched his beard in thought. "Simon says do the hokey-pokey and turn yourself about."
The shadowy figure did the hokey pokey with the enthusiasm only a strange, shadowy spectre could deliver.
"Jump off the rainbow!"
The figure leapt from the rainbow.
"Silly, I didn't say Simon says!"
Colm sat back down on his beach chair, twirled the pink umbrella that stuck from his whiskey glass, and put his shades on for some more tanning.
Magically Delicious.

Colm sat back and read the newest edition of Zoobooks that had just been sent to his rainbow by the local mailman mere moments before.
"Ah, nothing like reading about the duck-billed platypus to get me day started right."
He took a sip of whiskey, another ingredient to a successful day.
Suddenly (a very common method of motion upon the rainbow) came the very duck-billed platypus that graced the cover of the elementary nature magazine that Colm held in his small, hairy hand.
"I did not give my express, written permission for my picture to be used on the cover!" roared the platypus as it sat on its hind legs, like a dog.
It then rose and moved away and in its wake lay an egg.
"Whoa!" Colm pointed incredulously at the creature. "You layed an egg, but you're a mammal!"
The platypus frowned and spoke in a low, rumbling voice. "Yes, the Creator decided it would be funny to make a creature that grossly violated a number of the rules for phylae mammalia."
Colm grinned and took the egg. "Fetch boy!"
He threw the egg from the rainbow.
...and the platypus tumbled down like a raisin in the sun.
Or like a platypus falling from 30,000.

Try as they will and try as they might, he who steals me gold won't live through the night.

Colm said atop his magical rainbow
Watching the birds fly and feeling the wind blow
When all of a sudden with a magical flash
A flying saucer landed with a fiery crash.
Out from the saucer came a really big thing
With rotten teeth, a brain horn, and two leathery wings.
Colm gasped and stammered and shook like a leaf
Until he realized the monster was merely a thief.
It was heading for the gold that lay in the pot
But the leprechaun knew that the monster forgot
That try as they may and try as they might
The thieves of Colm's gold won't live through the night.
With a magical kick, the monster was thrust
Spiraling down to the earth where he hit the dust
Pineapple
