What a night! What a bloody night!! First there was the Baron challenge! I didn't call that one but I got to watch it. ::toothy grin::
Then right after that the Overlord had his challenge against the Baron of the Third, Anubis!
It was a bloody duel!! It is always bloody, well, not always there was the time that Kaja and Cory dueled and they used blunt weapons... but I digress.
The Baron challenged the Overlord, the Overlord accepted. But you knew that.
Now, this you didn't know. Cory's Lady of Honor was the cutie Onyx Solare. He had no second and was colorless.
Anubis's Second was Lily Ariskah, High Priestess and Daughter of Shakira. His Lady of Honor was Dawn Shadowsbane-Karos, in absentia. He dueled under the standard of the Eye of Ra emblazoned with a viper.
This was to be a best-of-three.
The first duel was short and bloody!!!
They both started by hitting each other! Anubis was determined to win and he finished that duel in five rounds!! Anubis got the first win with a score of 5-2.
The second duel was going better for the Overlord, not by much, but Cory got first blood! After round five, my favorite round where they both thrusted! I told you it was bloody! ...ahem.... the score was 3-2 in Cory's favor after the fifth round. Cory wouldn't score again after that. Anubis scored the next three points needed to win the match and the title!!
Cory gets the Third Baron's Ring. He declared himself Renegade.
Topaz, who was present, also declared her alignment as Renegade.
Anubis is the new Overlord of the Duel of Swords!!!
