An abduction

Post by TheAce0fSpades »

The order came down quickly. After the evening's confrontation between Ace's prey and his employer, an urgency was placed upon the situation. Weather the quick resolution was demanded out of fear or anger was of no concern to Ace.

He found his prey a short distance from the Arena as she was on her way home that very evening. The street was quiet and desolate. She walked alone. Ace wasted no time. From behind her in the darkness, one dagger was sent careening into the upper right of her back prevent her from drawing her weapon immediately. The other was implanted into her left calf to make escape impossible. Both were lined with a solution to induce sleep in his victim.

A scream of pain from his wounded prey accompanied Ace as he emerged from the shadows to toy with it. Ace watched as she struggled to remove the rapier from its sheath and then stagger towards him. Her lunge forward was slow and off target. Ace taunted her as she swung her rapier aimlessly with every ounce of strength she could muster until finally ending the farce of a battle with a vicious elbow to her face. She yelped in pain as her nose was shattered, but it wasn't long before the drug took its affect, and she crumbled to the ground in an unconscious heap. Since he was ordered to leave her alive and unspoiled, his trophy for the evening was her rapier. It was an ancient Polarian custom to retain the weapon of a defeated foe.

When Ace was satisfied with his work, he bound, gagged and draped a black hood over the wounded victim's head. A short while later he threw the limp package down on a dusty warehouse floor, deep in the heart of Badside. He was given no further instructions beyond delivery of the package, so he waited patiently for his employer's arrival.

"I do hope she isn't dead." Ace lifted his eye up to watch as a pale-faced figure morphed out of the darkness before him. He had known the creature was there for quite some time, but it was only now that she revealed herself to him. Not once did either Ace or the body move as Ace's employer was scouting them both over.

Ace was silent as he jabbed the bundle with the end of a dagger to administer the antidote. As his prey was coming to, he removed the black hood covering her face to reveal a battered and bloody Jenia Aedroud to his employer. With a nudge of his boot into her back, Ace officially turned the woman over to her new owner.
