May 1st - It's Beltane!

#11 Twilight Lagoon remains open to the public today for the usual weekly scheduled nonstop partying, but in addition there will be a portal that opens directly to the Governor's Mansion for Karma's Lá Bealtaine Kickoff Party for this day only! The Double Dukes Drhys, Ministers of Culture and Technology, will be found mostly at the Governor's Mansion, but guests are still welcome to slip through to the Gloaming for a bit of respite from the crowds should they wish it. Bedrooms will be open and available for any overflow from the Governor's Mansion and its numerous rooms of lodging as well. Enjoy the festivities and celebrate Beltane in style!

May 8th - Beltane Afterparty Brunch!

You have seen the Reveal of the May Queen at the Crystal Chasm! (Congratulations, Yuzuki Ito!) Partied your faces off at the Lighting of the Fires of Beltane! Maybe you even participated in the Great Hunt of the Mocking Groves! And before all that, we hope you wished Governor Armstrong a happy birthday at Lá Bealtaine Kickoff Party at the Governor's Mansion! Now it's time to relax!

After nearly a week's worth of partying hard, the Double Dukes Drhys are hosting an after-party brunch in their mansion at #11 Twilight Lagoon this Sunday morning! Hangovers got you down? Trudge on over to where the atmosphere is kinder on the eyes in the perpetual Twilight of the Isle. Load up a plate full of recovery foods and hangover cures. There are plenty of options to choose from. With help from guest chefs Ariana MacGyldren, Ellie Luisante, Salvador Delahada, and Gatito Lindo, the Double Dukes have put together a spread that will soothe just about any hungover tummy.

Relax in the soothing warm waters of the lagoon, or soak your bones deep in the heated grotto under the mansion. On this day the lights will be kept dim and the music soft. Guests are encouraged to find themselves a bed to nap in, should they wish it, or even stay the night. There will be plenty of animal friends to cuddle, too, if needed.

On the brunch buffet:
Waffles with syrup, whipped cream, and all the other trimmings
Freshly-baked croissants
Sourdough toast in two flavors: plain and cinnamon-raisin
Pork and vegetarian varieties of bacon, sausage, and ham
Soft scrambled eggs
Slices of baked omelette rich with garden vegetables
Breakfast potatoes with red bell pepper and onion
Sautéed mushrooms
Oven-roasted tomatoes
Vegetarian-friendly baked beans
A fresh fruit platter featuring berries, grapes, watermelon, pineapple, oranges, bananas, avocado, and tomato
Plain and vanilla yogurt
Homemade granola in two flavors: honey-cinnamon and dark chocolate-cherry
Ariana MacGyldren’s famous cinnamon rolls and cherry cinnamon rolls
Apple strudel
Pain au chocolat
Plus all the condiments guests need to finish their meals: several types of cheese, honey, fruit preserves, hot sauce, and more



On the beverage bar:
Freshly-brewed coffee
Hot tea in a wide variety of flavors
Old-fashioned lemonade
Honey-sweetened cherry limeade
And pitchers of pre-mixed Bloody Marys

In addition to the above beverages, the Double Dukes are also offering guests a “bubbly bar,” where they can mix their own Mimosas, Beermosas, Bellinis, and other sparkling cocktails and mocktails.

Featuring:
Orange, pineapple, cherry, and pomegranate juices
Peach, strawberry, raspberry, and mango purées
Prosecco
Wheat beer and pale ales
Ginger beer
Sparkling water in plain, berry, and citrus flavors
And add-ins for a little flair: fresh berries, pomegranate arils, fresh herbs, citrus wheels, and maraschino cherries

June 12th - It's Pride Week!

The Double Dukes Drhys are hosting the kickoff party for Pride week at their #11 Twilight Lagoon Gloaming District mansion this Sunday! After all the city roads have been painted in rainbows, come on by to celebrate at the 2022 Rhydin Pride Kickoff Party! Don't forget to check the itinerary for the other weekly events happening all over Rhydin all week long! The Duel of Magic Summer 2022 All Ranks Tournament kicks off that evening at 8pm sharp as well! Spectators and participants are welcome to crash at Drhys' place after, because remember that the parties go all night long! Even when they're not there.

Fabulous Fall Fridays!

In an effort to help obliterate the darkness that has plagued Twilight Isle this October, the Double Dukes Drhys have brought back their perpetual house parties per the request of a very good friend! What better day to kick off this season long extravaganza than All Saints' Day? Spooky season comes to an end and we're ready to pull on our patterned sweaters while roasting some marshmallows!

Though the temperatures on Twilight Isle remain pretty constantly warm, that doesn’t mean we can’t pretend. The mansion at #11 Twilight Lagoon has been fully decorated in fall theme flair! Come rest on some palm frond hay bales, kick around a few pumpkins, bob for apples, and dance the hula with a scarecrow or two! Not only will the wine be flowing, but plenty of cider and apple juice -- courtesy of Gardenhome Orchards -- will be available too!

From now until mid-December, come on out every Friday night and dance until dawn! Every room will be opened to explore. The grand foyer itself remains transformed into a dance hall, full of laser lights and an elevated stage designated for live bands and talented DJs! Open bars tended by helpful and knowledgeable hired hands are located within the ballroom, upstairs in the lounge, and outside on the lawn. There will be alcohol aplenty, and a wide variety of nonalcoholic drinks as well. Don’t forget to hydrate with fresh spring water to avoid a hangover!

All visitors and guests will be welcomed all season long to stay over. Plenty of bedrooms, sofas, chairs, and floors are available for the hardest of partiers to crash upon whenever they so choose. Take a relaxing soak in the grotto beneath the mansion, or hop into the lagoon for a midnight swim, but do so at your own risk! Friendly reminder that former Governor Driscol and Mr. Germain cannot be held responsible for any mishaps with mermaids or other potentially dangerous aquatic creatures.

Arrangements are ongoing with a variety of Rhydin’s finest food businesses, such as the Arena’s Wolves Den Bistro, Twilight Tacos, Nicole’s Bistro & Pizzeria, and many more! The midnight munchies won’t stop our guests from having the times of their lives!

December 31st - Ring In the New Year!

The Double Dukes Drhys invite you, yes you to party the night away at #11 Twilight Isle this Tuesday night! Say goodbye to 2024, cast your cares away, and dance until you drop! There will be plenty of food and drink to go around. Watch the fireworks go off over the dueling rings at midnight from the comfort of a temporary home. Stay the night in one of many numerous comfortable guest rooms. Enjoy a dip in the always warm lagoon, or soak in the hot spring they keep in the grotto below. If you don't want to be alone when you celebrate the coming of 2025, this is the place to be!

You've been to nearly all of the Double Dukes' house parties, and you attended every one this most recent season, too. Including the New Year's Eve one. You danced the night away both on your own and with literally anyone who asked.



You also spent the night there, and in the morning, you made pancakes for everyone who stayed the night. That's how you always do it, and as long as there are all-nighter parties for you to attend, that's what you'll keep doing.



You don't put your hair in a bun very often, but you thought you did a pretty good job.

Wonderful Winter Wednesdays!

Now that the holidays are over, the Double Dukes Drhys are ready to resume their regularly scheduled perpetual house parties on Twilight Isle! Did you think they were done drowning the Gloaming District in an assortment of DJs with their sick beats? Well you were wrong! After taking down all the holiday decor, the Double Dukes have decorated the interior of #11 Twilight Lagoon with an abundance of wintry themed whites and blues. With the extra addition of enchanted snowfall, things may look chilly around the mansion, but rest assured that there will be no weather changing shenanigans happening to disrupt the warmth and tranquility of the Isle itself.

From now until the middle of March, drop on in for a visit every Wednesday afternoon and stay as long as you like! Dance the night away, sample some catered fare from any of the various cuisines of the realm, frolic along the private beach of the lagoon, soak in the heated grotto, visit with Dris and Rhys themselves, spoil Gussie and Tommy rotten, and so much more! If you exhaust yourself on socializing, feel free to stay the night! There are dozens of rooms to choose from! Help yourself to a bed, sofa, or floor space without fear. All visitors and guests will have guaranteed protection.
