While the holidays aren't entirely over, I do have this challenge grant from the recent All-Ranks Tournament to use. So I am issuing this challenge for the title of Overlord.

Watching this challenge made me so hungry and what's the best spot to cure those hunger pangs? That's right. King Burger. With a Super Double Royale with Cheese and extra Crown Sauce my night was made.

Did you hear? King Burger is bringing back their Valentine Royale burger! No better way to say "I love you" to that special someone than to give them a pure chocolate Royale!

After picking up the Overlord challenge grant at the ART, Ebon Ilnaren pressed this challenge to see if he could relieve Reign of her hold on the Overlord title now that she has been holding it for more than a year!

Ebon fought under the banner of the eight-pointed silver star on a black field with his family motto on it. His second was Doran Ilnaren and his Lady of Honor was Phen Seer Ilnaren.

Reign sought to defend her title under the colors of gold on black. Her second was Myria Graziano, and her people of honor were Droet the Bold and Abby Fenner.

Reign selected a single duel format, and the two fighters faced each other in the chosen ring. Reign defended with her trusty gunblade, while Ebon wielded a staff for the occasion.

Ebon opened the fight with intention, attempting a direct strike at Reign, but Reign was the first to score with a nifty avoidance. As Ebon fell into a defense stance, Reign doubled up her points with a high shoulder strike. After holding each other off for another round, Reign found another point when she somersaulted backwards, creating more space in the ring, and ducking Ebon's high-swinging staff. A bit of posturing finally allowed Ebon to find his opening, high-striking again while Reign could not escape. With one point on the board, Ebon tried to swing momentum in his favor, but a defensive round quickly gave way to Reign finding her matchpoint with yet another direct strike. And though Ebon heroically held her off, he could not find a way back into the fight, and Reign soon landed a direct strike and her defense.

FINAL: Reign def. Ebon Ilnaren, 5 - 1 in 11 rounds.

Congratulations to Reign on her exceptional defense! Well-tried Ebon!

And congratulations to all who contributed donations in the wildly successful charity drive that Reign kicked off with her matching funds promise. Ebon selected the RhyDin Food Depository and Dragon's Gate Orphanage as the well-deserved recipients.
