Yule And Tree Day (Christmas) Celebration!

Earth Keeper Rachael Blackthorne, her husband Ian, and their family wish to extend the hospitality of both the grounds of the Tower of Earth and the grounds of Number Six Willow Way in the Gloaming District to the public for a celebration of the Christmas/Yule holidays.

This celebration will take place from Friday, December 22nd through Tuesday, December 26th between the hours of 9:00 AM – 2:00 AM.

It is up to the guests to supervise any children that accompany them to this event.



((Notes: This is a board only event to be used or not as people see fit. This celebration is designed to be a non-violent event. All characters and players are welcome to participate. Feel free to refer to participation in live play. The main house at Six Willow Way as well as the Tower of Earth itself are off limits for the duration of this event. The grounds around the base of the Earth Tower have been decorated for the holidays.

Living pine trees decorated with both edible and non-edible ornaments and LED lights in pots (ready to be replanted after the season) for sale are on display on the Tower's grounds. All proceeds from the sales will be evenly distributed between the following charities: Badge of Honor Memorial Foundation, which benefits the families of Watch members who died in the line of duty, Old Market Women’s Shelter, Dragons Gate Orphanage, the Wildlife Trust, and the RhyDin LGBTQ+ Youth Outreach Center.

The guest house at Number Six Willow Way is decorated for the holiday season and set up for both food and treat distribution.

A dashing black-haired man in a tuxedo and a young blond-haired woman in a yellow ochre wool gown are on hand to both assist in serving the food and beverages and gift any visitors with treats, including decorated cookies, cupcakes, and holiday candies, which are age appropriate.

Moneypenny and Bond will also be ready to direct any visitors to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus at the guest house at Number Six Willow Way. From noon until 9PM by the Eastern Clock Tower on Friday, December 22nd through Sunday, December 24th, there will be a chance for both children and children at heart to talk with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus at Santa’s throne. Various elves can also be seen during this event.

Winter vegetable and venison stews and plain grilled cheese sandwiches, each sandwich served with tomato soup, will be offered complimentarily to the guests.

Beverages will be also offered complimentarily to the guests, including apple cider (plain and alcoholic) along with a festive punch for the season in both alcoholic (Holiday Punch and Spiked Eggnog) and non-alcoholic (Grinch Punch and Eggnog) varieties. The alcoholic beverages are clearly marked as such.

The offered sweet treats are decorated sugar cookies, gingerbread cookies, Grinch cupcakes, and assorted Christmas candies.

Festive containers will be provided to hold the treats for the guests, along with reusable holiday themed tote bags to take the containers home.

The grounds of the Tower of Earth made for great Christmas light viewing. Cecilia walked some good paces back, alongside Jasmina, while keeping an on on her younger sister — who just so happened to want to invite along a boy-who-is-a-friend-but-the-way-her-little-sister-exclaimed-it-proves-otherwise at the last minute. Cecilia had frowned about it, since it was admitting that her sister was indeed growing up, but with Jasmina's intel (thanks to her job at Kabuki Street Community School), it's at least known that he's not some little shit.

Maybe Jasmina saw Cecilia staring daggers at the kid but her attention was soon turned to the beautiful light displays thanks to a tug of the arm.

"They are pretty," Cecilia said. Then, after a thought, she quickly pulled out her phone and took a picture of Jasmina and herself; with the glittering lights being the perfect backdrop.
