Winterfest 2023: Crafts and Stargazing

Holiday Craft Workshops
Tuesday, December 12th at the RhyDin Observatory & Botanical Garden Complex

Tuesday morning, bring the children over to the ROBGC for a day full of holiday crafts, baking, and fun! They'll have an opportunity toexperiment with a variety of crafts to add a personal touch to the holiday season, such as:

• make ornaments to hang from trees or garlands around the home
• assemble wreaths of pine and holly to hang on the front door
• prepare wax for scented candles that will enchant any locale
• create fanciful puppets and dolls to delight siblings and friends
• grow crystal stars and snowflakes from seeds of rock candy
• bake cookies and cupcakes for an array of tasty treats
• blend juices into delicious and, perhaps, delightfully fizzy concoctions

The Complex will open at 8:00 AM Tuesday morning, with a number of adults guiding the children in expressing their holiday creativity/ In addition to the craft workshops, there will be lessons in a variety of seasonal dances and games.

Then at 7:00, adults and children alike are invited to join Eregor up in the Observatory for an evening of stargazing. See the wonders of the winter sky as you may have never seen them before, as the current Archmage blends astronomy and magic to bring to life a few winty tales in the stars.
