Orktoberfest has returned to its home in Battlefield Park!

The fairgrounds surrounding the Warg Carousel have been redecorated for Orktoberfest! The blinking lights and fearsome imagery of the revolving ride summon you to the boundary of the Wilds for the annual festival, hosted by the haunting duo Bathilde "Batty" Bloodblade and Jester Jovar.

The celebration has taken over a working hay market, with the abundant hay bales serving as seating, low walls, and dividers. Large checker-patterned beer tents run by Batty Bloodblade pipe out the smoke from central fire pits along with the thick aroma of orcish carnival food.

This year, jack-o-lanterns from Warlady Buttercup's pumpkin patch mark the path to the Fall Arches competition. Arches are sponsored from various businesses with small wooden plaques describing the artist(s) and sponsors. Patrons can vote for their favorite archway which will receive a ‘Fall Favorite’ award. A judging panel will award first, second, and third place with cash prizes. The winning arch will serve as a center piece for the Fall Gala.

Butting up against the old haunted orchard at the edge of the Wilds is a wide wooden dance-floor with bands like Green Danube and Bree-Yark and the Grovelers playing traditional goblin polka. After nine-o'clock, the bands give way to the loud and guttural sounds of ODM - orcish death metal, colloquially known as "Oh Damn!" Famed vocalist Fistmelda stands behind a makeshift bar of BadCider barrels, pouring fresh pints for the audience and the bands, who only leave when the last barrel stands empty.

Warlady Buttercup and her husbands have opened their pumpkin patch to festival guests, and will sell their monstrous gourds straight from the field or out of their roving battle wagons. Wicked weapons are provided for pumpkin carving, or you can also take a turn launching pumpkins from a ballista! Targeting your friends is encouraged.

The event at Number Six Willow Way in the Gloaming District on Twilight Isle, namely the Annual Samhain And Candy Day (Halloween) Celebration!, is part of the Orktoberfest Celebration.

[Partly Cloudy]

The 2nd Annual Citywide Trick-or-Treat is also intended to be part of the Orktoberfest Celebration, and I’d like to submit it as a qualifying event for the achievement. Thanks!
