Re: Tanabata in Kabuki Street July 8!
Since the newlywed Ris, Hye-jin and Yuri were on duty they didn't need yukata. Their uniform was a haori at least, so it fit the summer season and the theme of the festival well. Even though Yuri had been promoted to captain, the pair was still patrolling together around the southern end of Kabuki Street where on the day of Tanabata it was a big less crowded than usual. Near midnight they were able to clock out and move to find a good viewing spot for the fireworks show as well as get snacks for the hungry Hye-jin.

The KSCS principal secured the day off from the office to attend the Tanabata festival. She made sure to greet any students she saw in the crowd and even played some games with fellow staff and some students, including challenging a pair of minotaur students to a round of suikawari. Later she would join Kiyomi and Myia to meet with the Takamines for a time so that Myia could play games with Mini Lisa for a while. She chose a bright and cheery yukata that fully displayed the summer fun theme. By the time she'd heard it on the sound system a few times, HH's new single, Hanabi Duo was stuck in her head and she was singing along with the refrain before the fireworks.

Tanabata was a source of good memories, even if half the time Penny was roped into some sort of work. But when the "work" was entertaining the pair of bunnies, Shi-chan and Ma-chan, there were not too many complaints from the Wizard. Festival goers could likely find her about the Zama Shrine helping Hana who was giving out fortunes, or watching the watermelon smashing with either a rabbit or a small turtle in her arms. Though so many often spent weeks in search of the perfect yukata for the festival, Penny was familiar enough with a shop keeper in Kabuki who always would pull out a red fabric with cranes or peonies for the Monster Hunter and set it aside for her. Saving their home village from that two headed toad monster a few years back really paid off.
