Re: The Monarch of May 2023
Jewell made the trip to the clearing on a fine spring morning, a length of birch clutched in her hand. On it was carved the name "Skid." Birch seemed fitting for their recent catch-up gab session as it signified renewal and regeneration, which they had both seen happen more than once in their lives.
She added it to the pile, said a short prayer before the altar, and left as quietly as she had come.

I nominate the Empress, Jewell Ravenlock. Though she's already a queen in every way that matters.
Re: The Monarch of May 2023
A horrific amalgamation of branches from many trees, melded unnaturally together with magic, both dark and light were cast into the pile. As the horror landed, it lit up drowen runes that spelled the name: "Cianan."

I hunt for you with bloody feet across the hallowed ground
I want to find you, tear out all your tenderness and
howl, howl, howl.

Mac inked the following name on a piece of rowan: Torg, the finest courier in all of Rhy'Din
And then, just to throw more than sticks in fires took a picture and sent it to every single Jack in the Club.

On a piece of willow befitting of the nominee, Stitch dug a name in with a claw: William
