So.

I've been drunk on spiked eggnog for the better part of the past 2 weeks but Frank reminded me I have a grant to use. Because I'm that [censored] genius that decided challenging the only DiArchLord in the past 20 years was a smart or good idea. So either it'll be fun and we'll have a good time, or I'll make a fool out of myself and lose my sponsorships.

Either way. This is me challenging for Overlord with the grant I got in the latest cyclical whatchamacallit.

Let's do it after the new year though. I'm not done with this eggnog quite yet.

Spinach-Artichoke Dip
warm, creamy dip of spinach, artichoke hearts, roasted garlic,

Roasted Lemon White Bean Hummus
smooth dip of cannellini beans, roasted garlic, juice from roasted lemons & tahini

Four Roses Single Barrel bourbon, Chambord raspberry liqueur,

Sparkling Citrus Punch
Gardenhome Orchards lemonade, ginger beer, fresh orange & grapefruit juices,
fresh lime juice, cinnamon-ginger simple syrup & sliced citrus fruits

All of the chocolate items have been made with a variety of chocolate that can be safely consumed by those who are allergic or otherwise sensitive to regular chocolate, and the Tiramisu and Black Forest cupcakes contain a small amount of alcohol thanks to their respective fillings. These facts have been clearly indicated with signage so spectators can make appropriate choices.

I spectated the match between Reign and Gatito this evening.

Reign dueled under a banner that is black with a gold crown in the center; her second was Jesse, in absentia; and her person of honor was Royal.

Gatito, only the second person in history to hold the title of Archmage, Diamond, and Overlord at the same time, dueled under a banner with a golden rose on a field of black; his second was Salvador Delahada; and his persons of honor were Salvador, Rekah Illyriana, and his Rhydin family.

Gatito chose the option to resolve the match in a single duel!

Reign began cautiously, defending high against Gatito's opening thrust. Though it was only a half point lead, she would never relinquish it. The next round saw a trade of blows before Reign opened up a wider lead with a sidestep against Gatito's thrust. Gatito later was able to bring the match closer with a direct defense of a thrust, and at 2.5-2 it was anyone's duel. But tonight was Reign's night, and after another trade, Reign went defensive in the next two rounds with a sidestep and then secured her victory with a low defense to dethrone Gatito and become the newest Overlord.

Well won, Reign, and well defended, Gatito!

With Reign stepping up to Overlord, Gatito inherits the vacant Barony of Old Market and declared himself Renegade. Sal also declared Renegade. All other Barons must declare seven days after the next standings update in writing.
