Challenge to the Tower of Fire

A pretty striped package done up in a pink bow appears along with the official notices on the Isle.



The package has a tag on it addressed to the name of Rachael Blackthorne: Keeper of Fire.

On the back of the tag, written in a bubbly script, is the message: I challenge you! It is signed by a pink, three-toed paw print.



Inside the package are precisely eleven, paw-shaped pink iced sugar cookies. They are feline friendly.

A thick white sheet of parchment was tacked to the corkboard with a black and gold pushpin. The message that it contained was written in an exceptionally precise left-handed script in black ink. A seal in black and gold wax with the impression in the wax of a panther head was at the bottom of the parchment.

FIRECRACKER CHEESEBURGERS
single or double; all beef or veg beef patties with chipotle aioli, pepper jack cheese, and fried jalapeños
cheddar or Swiss cheeses, non-spicy condiments, and non-spicy vegetable toppings may be substituted

BLACKENED CHICKEN SANDWICHES
grilled, blackened breast fillet on toasted brioche with pepper jack cheese, mayo, lettuce, and tomato
cheddar or Swiss cheese may be substituted

SPICY CHORIZO DOGS
grilled pork or veg chorizo links on steamed buns with spicy jalapeño relish, pico de gallo, and hot mustard
non-spicy condiments, such as diced onions, yellow mustard, and sweet relish, may be substituted

BUFFALO CHICKEN TENDERS
fried breast meat tenders with a crunchy batter, tossed in mild or spicy buffalo sauce

• Spiced Hot Chocolate: chocolate shells filled with dark chocolate ganache spiced with cinnamon and cayenne
• Vanilla Bean “Burger”: tan shells studded with sugar seeds and filled with tinted vanilla bean ganache and colored marshmallow fondant

In addition to the milkshakes listed above, there will be sodas, iced tea, coffee, and other non-alcoholic beverages available, as well as guests’ favorite tipples from the Isle’s bar.

All chocolate items have been prepared with a variety of chocolate that is suitable for those who are allergic or otherwise sensitive to regular chocolate.

If tonight was a contest between who was best dressed, we would be ill pressed to come up with a clear winner, as both Rachael and Mew showed up in their finery! And even with a menu of spicy and sweet delights, our casters couldn’t be detoured from opening the challenge night in the special ring of Tartarus to get things started. In the first match Rachael opened up with a protection of flames while Mew had to search for an opening. Undiscouraged, Mew lobbed a trio of some atomic firebomb candies, giving us all a sweet treat to see how the course of the match was likely to go. There was candy floss that was melted into taffy, and cinnamon red hot candy scent in the air, leaving spectators cheering with delight for both casters. Darting ahead in the score and not turning back, it was Mew who would take the first match with a final score of 5.5 to 2.5 in 9 rounds. So we pressed on for another match where Rachael opened with the Power of the Tower to melt the creation of the candy floss mountain Mew had been building! They continued to trade spells, keeping the score extremely close before Mew closed out the second match with a final score of 5.5 to 4.5 in 8, thus securing their first reign of the Tower of Fire!
