Fall All-Ranks Tournament - November 19th!

Are You Falling for MoonBeryl? Take your shot at claiming it with the All Ranks Tournament!

Let's take it OLD SCHOOL* with no fancy dancin', in awarding both MoonBeryl and the Tusk!

The event will be held in the Outback on Saturday, November 19, 2022, starting at 8pm by the Eastern Clock (participants must check in no later than 8:05pm; tournament entry will close at that point).

Compete for the guts, the glory, and for MoonBeryl and Fistmelda’s Tusk (and more)!

Additional prizes:

• 100 nobles x # of participants
• Second Wind
• Band of Open Eyes
• Cuffs of the Gorgon

Seedings will be random** and the tournament format will be based on number of entrants and may be double elimination, single elimination, or round robin.

Octavia delivered the prizes shortly after dusk, and remained in the Outback until the start of the tournament in case she was needed further.

Second Wind
This talisman is fashioned from an old bronze coin and enchanted by the DiArchLord, Gatito Lindo, to provide a burst of revitalizing energy to its wearer during a fight or other strenuous activity. It is designed to be worn continuously to absorb and store a portion of the wearer’s own kinetic energy for this purpose, and therefore must be attuned.

Band of Open Eyes
Donated by a monastery far north of RhyDin as an example of their work, this black headband is made from cocoons found within their halls and dyed with ash from their mountaintop pyre. The wearer will remain awake through a knockout blow, and can sense someone approaching even in complete darkness - or if such a blow has jarred their vision.


Cuffs of the Gorgon
First worn by a gladiator who fought and won her first fight unarmed, they have been imbued with her blood and will resist sharp edges. The wearer's hands will harden like stone when struck, enabling them to catch a blade with minimal harm.

What an excellent tournament! I regret that I was unable to attend in person, but my aides provided me with a recording and were adequate in describing the events of the night.

Nine unarmed combatants entered the contest for MoonBeryl, Fistmelda's Tusk, and the cash and donated prizes. We were fortunate to see the debut of a new fighter, Xavier! In the end it was the gentlemen Gren and Droet who reached the final round. Droet had bested Gren in their first match of the tournament and gone undefeated since, but Gren won the first of their rematches in the finals. However, Droet soon recovered and secured victory and his choice of first prize. What talented and graceful fighters you all are!

The prizes selected are as follows:
