Rhy'Din Vehicular Expo 2022

For three glorious days, running from the 3rd of November through the 5th, the Rhy'Din Convention Center will host the 2022 Rhy'Din Vehicular Expo, a premier car show and transportation museum. Take a tour through the centuries from as far back to the invention of the wheel all the way into the future where personal transports hover in the skies. Drop on in to see some amazing restorations credited to the boys at Classic Customs. Marvel at the covered wagons and gape at the rocket sleds. One might even stumble into an adventure through a TARDIS or two! Come see what the residents of Rhy'Din are calling their own pride and joy; space has been provided for every citizen to show off their babies. Whether there are boosters, wheels, or hooves involved, we'll be showcasing them all! There will be souvenirs aplenty, and opportunities to catch a photo with the Governor to boot. Drive on in the end of this week! See you there!

Among the various "show 'em off" cars sits Eregor's pristine 1937 Mercedes Benz 500K roadster. It is protected by overlapping mystic and technological defenses to prevent theft or defacement, but really, visitors to the Expo just want to get their photo op sitting behind the wheel!

[Doran Ilnaren]

Though it isn't nearly as fancy as his uncle's car, Doran has a vehicle at the Expo too, a 1992 LeBaron convertible. It is in mint condition, thanks to the gang at Classic Customs, and he leaves the black top up to show it off in Rock Hards colors!

[Ebon Ilnaren]

Not to be outdone, Ebon has his car out on display as well. It's a '67 Shelby Cobra convertible, sleek and powerful... and, of course, black.

In honor of their late cousin Ed, the family at Old Temple West submitted for display his fully restored 1932 Ford Model B pickup truck, Ethel.

The former Dragon's Gate baronial car, a Mercedes-Benz S Class convertible, was on display.

Likewise, the former Seaside baronial car, a Ferrari F8 Tributo, was brought in for display. A mallet was nearby as well, with a sign encouraging visitors to smash the car so that they could watch in wonder as its self-repair wards magically returned it to pristine condition afterward.

Rhys brought out three vehicles from his private stock. He had lovingly restored each of them during his years in Rhydin, and each held special meaning for him.

There was a display placard for each of the vehicles, bearing his name and some contact information for his restorations business, Classic Customs.

After a great deal of discussion among the Adult Council members (heated in one member's case) of the Blackthorne Household, it was decided that two of the Household's vehicles would be placed on temporary loan to the Rhy'Din Vehicular Expo.

The first vehicle was a perfect replica of Lola, Agent Phil Coulson's flying car, recreated for Rachael Blackthorne by her husband Ian Blackthorne. Unlike the vehicles used in various media productions, this version of Lola can actually fly.

The second vehicle, after intense negotiations that included the promise of multiple presents for its owner, Empress Marshmallow Katz, was the Katzmobile II, the Katzes' flying family vehicle.

Both vehicles will be protected by security systems designed by Ian Blackthorne.
