Vacancy of the Tower of Earth

For several days, the Tower of Earth saw a flurry of activity. Forest Fae moved through the external farms and laboratories to gather up crops and experiments. The mountains groaned as a surge of ore extraction ramped up, then suddenly stopped as quickly as it began. The mephits acting as custodians of the Tower’s library focused all of their attention to quickly transcribing and copying books and scrolls. After the end of a long week, all the activity ceased, and the Tower returned to its silent vigil over the western reaches of the Twilight Isle.

A note was delivered to the Duel of Magic office, along with an obsidian box containing the emerald-set key to the tower.

To the esteemed staff of the Duel of Magic,

Due to competing interests that have begun to pull at my attention, I find I am unable to fulfill my obligations as Keeper of the Tower of Earth, and had elected to surrender my custodianship of the Tower. It has been an honor to hold this title on three separate occasions, but it is time to focus my energies on other endeavors.
