... The Quest to Find the 110th Diamond!

On Saturday, July 16th, starting at 8pm by the Eastern Clock, we at the Outback will be hosting the 110th Diamond Quest! Will you crush the competition and lay claim to the coveted Black Diamond?

Register below to stake your claim to the legendary stone! Early seeding access is now open!

As always, we ask that all participants arrive a reasonable amount of time before 8pm to be counted as present and prepared for the event. There are no activity requirements for joining this tournament.

Our roster will lock promptly at 8:05pm, so be sure to be there!

((OOC: Early Seeding will be based on the Emerald Rankings found on the Duel of Fists Standings page, followed by sign-up or walk-in time for those that don't pre-register. Those who sign up after 9pm EST on July 13th, as well as walk-in participants, will be seeded below the early registrants. The tournament roster will lock promptly at 8:05pm on the night of the event.

Tournament format will be Double Elimination, alternating to Round Robin if needed based on the number of entrants.))

In Diamond Quest CX, ten duelers vied for the Outback's top title! In order of seeding, they were:

Salvador Delahada
Droet
Mira Burke
Karma
Eden Parker
Dakota Street
Nayun
Ebon Ilnaren
Gren Blockman
Matt Simon

As with several prior DQs, Sal opened the night with a bye (top seed has its perks!), along with a few others who watched while Ebon fought Gren and Matt battled Nayun. Ebon cruised to a 5-1 win while Matt struggled to a 5-4 victory.

Sal then beat Ebon 5-4 while Karma found herself with a 5-2 win over Eden. Matt edged out another narrow victory over Droet (5-4) and Dakota earned a 5-2 win over Mira.

In the third round, Mira sent Gren packing (5-1) and Eden did the same to Nayun (5-3) while Karma knocked Sal to the bottom bracket (5-4) and Dakota did the same to Matt (5-4).

Matt's night ended at the hands of Eden (5-4) - meaning all of Matt's duels ended with the same score - and Droet kept alive over Sal (5-3) while Karma wrapped up the top bracket with a 5-3 win over Dakota.

Eden ended Droet's night (5-3) and then Dakota's (5-2) to earn another DQ Finals trip, which she's done quite a bit in recent years!

Karma put a quick stop to Eden's Black Diamond hopes, winning the first Finals match 5-2 and her first Diamond Quest!
