The Girl Who Fell from the Sky

Post by Lambence Soliel »

Above the skies of RhyDin, a portal opened up unbeknownst to anyone who wasn’t highly magically attuned. A single being tumbled through the portal and just as suddenly as it appeared it closed behind them with a THWOOMP. For a moment, the skies above RhyDin awakened with light and a star met the plane, but without any of the heat. Cometlike in her descent, a child fell through the cloud coverage and towards the uptown district. Once she passed through the clouds, it was clear what the light was emanating from; the entirety of the clouds above her were illuminated to reveal an ocean of gray fluff hanging above the city. The ethereal light elemental descended rapidly but gracefully, her small frame as a shooting start to any distant viewer.

A minute passed after the portal closed, before— SPLASH The girl ended up in a fountain and blinded everyone who was in the square at the time. The light refracted through the water made the small plaza the brightest spot in all the city at that moment. Though the girl was fully submerged, no bubbles could be seen leaving her lips and in her unconscious state she could be described as peaceful. A literal beacon of light poured out of the child making her quite an easy person to find and in a town like RhyDin anyone could find the elemental.

Roni was headed home when she came across the form of an unconscious child in a fountain. After making sure that the child still had a pulse, she collected her form and headed off. She couldn't just leave the kid there, right? She could help her figure things out whenever she awoke, and help wherever she could. Just as quickly as she had arrived, the fae was gone into the night, her household for the night at least, growing one more.
