Due to recent events, a section of land in the Deep Wilds has become corrupted with the chaotic force known as “fel magic.” The long-term repercussions of this incident are unknown and fel magic is poorly understood. As such, as part of its mandate to secure the integrity of RhyDin’s natural resources and to protect the greater region of the Wilds, the area will be set aside as a nature preserve, to be maintained by the Department of Land Management, Office of Parks and Recreation.

The area will be opened to study and public visitation will be free, with a temporary restriction on public access until the local Druid clan has confirmed the safety of the area to the public.

The preserve will be named “Gwydion’s Folly” and will consist of a 160,000 square meter preservation area around a containment zone 100 meters in diameter centered on the ruins of the old fortress contained on the site.

Initial construction has been ordered to demarcate the area and to create the containment site itself, and proposals for further development will be submitted for public review and scheduled for final approval at a later date.
