On Sunday, April 10th, starting at 8pm by the Eastern Clock, we at the Outback will be hosting the 109th Diamond Quest! Will you crush the competition and lay claim to the coveted Black Diamond?

Register below to stake your claim to the legendary stone! Early seeding access is now open!

As always, we ask that all participants arrive a reasonable amount of time before 8pm to be counted as present and prepared for the event. There are no activity requirements for joining this tournament.

Our roster will lock promptly at 8:05pm, so be sure to be there!

((OOC: Early Seeding will be based on the Emerald Rankings found on the Duel of Fists Standings page, followed by sign-up or walk-in time for those that don't pre-register. Those who sign up after 9pm EST on April 3rd, as well as walk-in participants, will be seeded below the early registrants. The tournament roster will lock promptly at 8:05pm on the night of the event.

Tournament format will be Double Elimination, alternating to Round Robin if needed based on the number of entrants.))

Out of a pool of 9 it went to the last possible duel but Eden walked away with her third diamond on the night! Full writeup to come.

In Diamond Quest CVII, nine duelers vied for the Outback's top title! In order of seeding, they were:

Salvador Delahada
Droet
Rachael Blackthorne
Gatito
Ebon Ilnaren
Eden Parker
Koyliak VanDuran-Simon
Matt Simon
Dakota Street

As with DQ CV, Sal opened the night with a bye and awaited the winner of the low-seed fight (Matt vs. Dakota). Matt, Gatito, Koy and Eden all started their nights off with wins, but Matt, Gatito and Koy were quickly knocked down to the low bracket, along with Rachael. Dakota posted a shutout victory to keep her DQ dreams alive but Droet then burst that bubble, while Ebon sent Matt packing with a 5-4 win that wasn't as close as the score indicates.

In the upper bracket, Eden kept right on winning, securing a place in the Finals with victories over Rachael, Koy and Salvador. Koy, meantime, avenged her husband's loss in the lower bracket by besting Ebon 5-1 before notching a pair of 5-3 wins over Gatito and Salvador to earn her very first DQ Finals! She then beat Eden 5-4 to take the DQ into a single winner-take-all fight, at the end of which Eden found herself Diamond for the third time!

Congratulations to Eden on another stint as Diamond, to Koy for her best-ever Diamond Quest performance and a big thank you to all the duelers and spectators who came out to participate!
