Kitten’s Confections Bakery & Café
Kitten’s Confections was built by Harker & Hall over the summer of 2021, and opened in October of that year. It is located in New Haven.

Pistachio White Chocolate Macarons: spring green shells filled with pistachio-white chocolate ganache and topped with a drizzle of white chocolate and chopped pistachios
Fruity Pebbles Macarons: lavender-hued shells filled with cereal milk-infused buttercream studded with crushed Fruity Pebbles cereal, and topped with more colorful cereal
Lemon Thyme Macarons: sunny yellow shells filled with lemon-thyme buttercream and topped with a drizzle of sweet-tart lemon glaze and fresh thyme leaves
Lemon Cream Brioche Donuts: fried brioche dough dusted with icing sugar and filled with a sweet-tart lemon pastry cream
Ruby Chocolate Shortbread Cookies: sweet shortbread studded with chunks of dark and ruby chocolate, and finished with flaky sea salt

Kitten’s Confections Pride Collection
Happy Pride, everyone! In celebration of getting to be ourselves and love who we love, Kitten’s Confections has launched their first annual Pride Collection, filled with colorful (and tasty) treats.
Throughout the entire month of June, we are offering:
MACARONS
Vanilla Bean
Our classic, best-selling vanilla bean macarons are going loud and proud for the month of June with a generous swirl of rainbow-colored, vanilla buttercream. Their sweet, ivory shells have received an update, too, with a drizzle of rainbow-colored icing.
Double Chocolate
Like their vanilla cousins, our double chocolate macarons are coming out brighter this month with a swirl of rainbow-colored, white chocolate buttercream surrounding their dark chocolate ganache centers. Black cocoa makes their shells the perfect dark canvas, causing their drizzle of rainbow-colored icing to really pop.
Pride Tasting Box
If you want something a little more adventurous than our two classic flavors, try our Pride tasting box. Each contains a rainbow of vibrant colors and sweet flavors, including:
- Blackberry Oreo: purple, speckled shells filled with blackberry-flecked cookies ’n’ cream buttercream and our house-made blackberry preserves
- S’mores: blue shells filled with toasted marshmallow fluff, milk chocolate ganache, and graham cracker crumble
- Lucky Charms: green shells filled with cereal milk-infused buttercream and chopped Lucky Charms marshmallows
- Lemon Bar: yellow lemon shells filled with our house-made lemon curd and a sweet shortbread crust center
- O.M.G.: orange shells filled with tropical orange, mango, and guava-infused white chocolate ganache
- Red Velvet: red chocolate shells filled with rich cream cheese frosting
PASTRIES
Rainbow Croissants
Another classic has gotten a colorful makeover this month. We’ve taken our flaky, double butter croissants and striped them with vibrant rainbow colors, added dollops of Chantilly cream and shards of Pride bark, and filled them with sweet pastry cream and house-made jam. The flavors of the filling change every day to honor the uniqueness of every individual in the LGBTQ community.
Pride Brownies
Pride is a cause for celebration and being just a little bit extra. So we’ve taken our signature fudgy brownies and pressed macaron shells, dark chocolate chunks, and sweet marzipan into the dough. Then we covered the top with rainbow white chocolate ganache, a chocolate drizzle, and sprinkles.

Throughout the month of June, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of each Pride-themed item goes to support local LGBTQ charities, including the Rhydin LGBTQ Youth Outreach Center. This includes custom orders and catering for Pride-themed parties, weddings, etc.
And throughout Pride Week (June 12–18), Kitten’s Confections will also be collecting direct donations for the Rhydin LGBTQ Youth Outreach Center in the form of pantry staples, toiletries, clothing, school supplies, and more. Each customer who donates will receive a voucher for 10% off of their next bakery order.
