That had been an interesting evening last night.

Airtia crossed the floor of her room at the Red Dragon Inn, to the window. With a simply push she opened it and leaned on the sill to watch the setting unfolding beneath her. The courtyard, the cobblestone streets, it was odd, yet familiar, being back in RhyDin again. The last time she had been in the city proper was many years ago. Back then things were different and yet, now, they still seemed the same.

Idly her fingers drummed on the window sill. She was a different person now as well, the red gems embedded along her hands, arms, and neck, were a testament of that fact. The night air was crisp and cool, and her eyes followed the random people as they went about their way. Eventually her gaze settled on the horizon and she looked past the trees of the wilds to someplace many days journey away from here. She wondered if it was still there and, if it was, did she really wish to know?

No. Sometimes the past was better left in the past. What she needed to do now was reacquaint herself with the city, meet up with her Teacher, and find her partner. Surely he had to be around somewhere.

Backing away from the window she combed her fingers through her bright red hair, pulling a portion of it in front of her shoulders. A cursory look given to the room - it would do for now - as she made her way to the door and out into the hallway. With every step she could feel the sparks of her past life flickering deep inside her.
