Beltane 2021: The Fires of Beltane

Sadly, Mist wouldn't be enjoying Beltane this year, instead looking after his sister, Roni. But, as he promised, he sent S'Mores Stations to both the revels in the woods and the lock-down for the kids...

ALL the S'More goodies were set out with several small burners, or one could toast the marshmallows over any of the fires. Everything from fancy chocolates to plain old Hersheys, peanut butter, nutella, fresh fruits, jams, cups of sprinkles, and all sorts of marshmallows, all sorts of Graham crackers and cookies were waiting for the toasting.

Dris did, in fact, show up for the festivities. Predictably, he was not alone, but in the company of his handsome boyfriend Rhys Germain.

Absolutely no one was surprised when Rhys showed up on Dris’ arm wearing his usual jeans and leather jacket.

As she had in past years, Colleen had set up a wedding arch for those that wanted to be married or handfasted. They were welcome to have any officiant they chose.

Scarlett had chosen the color purple for more than one reason. This was her first Beltane and she intended to participate in style! Her dress, if you wanted to call it that, was a network of woven beads upon strings that decorated her torso enough to cover exactly what it needed to and finished in a bevy of purple sparkled feathers that made up the skirt. Why feathers? Because on her back sat a pair of purple mechanical wings that folded neatly against her and were surprisingly light. When extended they could span nearly twice her size and she did like to show them off. She had made them herself! The skin that did show was painted in a dazzling display of purple and blue hues (thanks to Karma!) and even her amber ringlets were pulled into a pretty updo and decked in purple flowers. She wasn’t sure about all of the things she had heard happened at the Beltane fires but she wanted to be there for her dear friend Alexia, The Queen of May and all of her other friends as well. Who knows, maybe she would get the chance to explore a bit more of the maze. They did say interesting and fascinating things happened within it’s floral and vine work walls.

Sylva would be showing up in blues and purples, some of her fabric even a shifting color that danced between the two. Of course, she'd be on the arm of her gentleman, Doran. Doran was dressed simply in a buckle-down brown vest, black pants, and sandals.

The firetamer closed the Bistro early to give the staff paid time off to enjoy the bonfire.

Droet wore red alongside Mimi. And black pants.

Tippletoe wore a New Haven Wrap in Wisteria Purple, her face was painted with light touches of purple, glittered gold, and green for Beltane. She brought her purple and red fiddle.
