A thick white sheet of parchment was tacked to the corkboard with a black and gold pushpin. The message that it contained was written in an exceptionally precise left-handed script in black ink. A seal in black and gold wax with the impression in the wax of a panther head was at the bottom of the parchment.

Haru,

You were an exceptionally worthy and honourable opponent when last we faced each other for the honour of gaining the custodianship of the Tower of Fire.

The timing of your challenge may perhaps gain you the answers that you seek, as the current days numbered of mon custodianship are indeed the ultimate answer.

I hereby officially accept this challenge.

After consultation with Haru, the challenge for the custodianship of the Tower of Fire will take place on Friday, May 7th, at 9PM by the Eastern clock tower. The honourable Coordinator of the Duel of Magic, Max Lager, will preside over the challenge.

Tonight is the Tower of Fire Challenge and it'll be a sight to see! Come and close out Beltane week here on the Isle with this fiery challenge and fun campfire eats!

Enjoy a variety of meats, veggies (and both) on skewers cooked over the campfires!

There will also be roasted corn and baked sweet and regular potatoes, complete with a toppings bar to load them up (sweet or savory)!

For the sweet tooth in you, try a smore banana boat or a campfire cone -- again with whatever toppings you like! If you like sweet and spicy, we highly suggest one of the fiery cinnamon suckers available (and clearly marked as spicy)!

For the extra daring, there are some of Max's special status effect sugar cookies (clearly marked and out of reach of mischievous little hands or paws)! What will a bite do to you? Do you dare to try one?

(( These flame cookies are clearly marked and available to play into if you wish to! Roll a die in the #green-room, ?roll1d3 and see what the cookie causes! The flames do not burn, and the effects do not last very long. This is just for fun and not required to play into!

Tonight I called the Challenge for the Tower of Fire and it was a hotly contestested series of matches!

Rachael wished to start off in Tartarus and wanted to waste no time in putting on a show! Before the details of the matches are given, I just wanted to say how stylish both of our fighters were this evening! Rachael was in a fiery red gown and Haru wore a sharply tailored suit and tie! So fancy, the both of them!

Things started off in Tartarus and got heated with Rachael taking an early lead! While Haru did manage to tie things up in the fifth round, 3 to 3, it was Rachael who closed off the first match with a the power from the Tower (Elemental Fury), and won 5.5 to 4 in 7 rounds.

Then in the second match, things looked to have been reversed with Haru taking an early and strong lead, but Rachael dug deep and climbed out of the hole and after a bit of a sea-saw battle in the scores, Rachael took the match 8 to 6.5 in 11.

Thus Rachael racks up a defense and Haru is left to try again another day. Congratulations Rachael and we look forward to seeing you challenging soon again Haru!
