Tournament Grant--Challenge for Battlefield Park

I hereby utilize the grant that I won as a prize in the most recent tournament, challenging Col. Matthew Algiers Simon for his ring.

I tire of your boorish presence. While you fail to disguise your petulance as persistence, I have little choice but to oblige and accept this challenge.

I propose this challenge take place in Battlefield Park, within the meswen orchard near the Manor.

Head to the Battlefield Park grounds for tonight's challenge, to be held in the garden of the haunted armory. Food, drinks, and violence are on the menu this evening, so come have your fill!

Plush seating and wicker tables have been set up for the match, set in and around the silver-trunked and blue leaf-laden meswen trees. A silver wood bar has been erected as well to serve an assortment of standard drinks as well as the evening's two specialty cocktails;


Meswen Rainwater -- A fruity cocktail made of the purple-red fruit of the meswen tree, purified Adennan rainwater, and a mild vodka. Served non-alcoholic as well.


The Blue Lotus - A light and airy cocktail made of lotus wine, blueberry juice, and a hint of lavender.

Two buffet tables are dressed with platters and towers of easy to eat finger foods fit for an evening in the garden.

Battlefield Park was lovely this evening and while we never got to see Anubis and Matt fight, we did witness two pretty solid test fights.

First, the particulars. Anubis dueled under a wedjet Eye of Ra thingie made of silver, with a cobra threading through it and coming out to hiss, hood splayed. His Second is Salvador Delahada and his Lady of Honor is Tetra. Baron Simon dueled under a banner of blue and yellow. He has no Second, but his People of Honor are Queen Koy and their little ones Thia and Malachite.

Matt requested a test from Hoperlord Naharis who obliged him accordingly. Renegade Baron of Old Temple, Caleb Feren, stepped in to counter. In 7 rounds, Hope dispatched Caleb with a score of 5-1.

Anubis then took the ring to face the final test from Hope. Hope managed to get ahead and held on to it from thereon out. Anubis made a valiant attempt at coming back from the deficit, but in the end, Hope won in 9, the score 5-4.

I would like to publicly thank Lilith for arranging the food and drink for the evening. I hope everyone who attended enjoyed the open air and the fragrance of the young meswen blooms.
