Tranquility Ballroom Date Night Auction

Flyers had been distributed everywhere! Similar to the ones that had been put out last week, but these...these had a DATE!

Are you wanting to help out The Kabuki Street Community School's Music department? This is your chance! Tranquility Ballroom is hosting it's first ever Date Night Auction on April 1st! Doors will open at 8pm Eastern. The auction will start promptly at 9pm ET. The ballroom will be transformed into a proper auction setting with a large runway leading from the grand stage, allowing entrants the chance to strut their stuff! Anyone is encouraged to enter to be auctioned and EVERYONE is encouraged to come and bid! The more the merrier! Food and drink will be provided by the Tranquility Ballroom.

((What a date involves and whether it is vapored or played out is up to the agreement of both players involved! This is a great opportunity to create new scenes between two characters, whether they're friends or partners or prefect strangers. Have fun with it, and if there are any issues or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to an event organizer!))

During a very sweet conversation between Alexia and Scarlett at The Red Dragon in, a decision had been made by both of them to promptly go and sign up for the auction. Both were giddy with excitement as they walked away with their nifty new hand fans (auction paddles) and the opportunity for the both to by dates (Days of the year). They each had ideas on which days they would buy and then gift to those that didn't have birthdays or couldn't remember them. The two had no idea that by signing up, they were also going to be on the auction block that night.

Since the auction was to benefit the music department, Pearl made sure to add her name to the list.

A scrap of paper with Ettyn's name on it, in her handwriting, was pinned to the sign-up sheet by a courier.

Haru paused, reading the notice and considering, before adding his name to the list to help.

As one of the KSCS music department faculty, Velen wasn't going to let this pass without doing his part. Besides, if Pearl was signing up, why not him?

That same rumor even said that he would be dressed to the 9s.

After reading over the fliers, and the volunteers, Mist laughed and added his own name, tacking his business card to the sheet with the others.




Amaris picked out a suit for Dad, and had his hair pulled back in a sleek pony tail. He almost looked modern.

In the oddest hour, without being seen, Katt left her name.

While out for a walk. Zack added his name. It was for a good cause and all.

The blonde tarried a bit of a while before the sign up sheet. She had seen the flyers around town and at first had felt elated. Then, due to her 'fine, upstanding disposition' she had thought better on it. However, after much consternation, the surfer-girl Scathachian decided that a bit of the old type of fun had more than merit! She signed her name on the sheet.

Auction Rules




Each entrant needs to put together some ‘selling facts’ about themselves for Reggie to be able to talk about them as they are introduced on stage. Please get that to me prior to the event starting!

Once an auctionee is introduced Reggie will start the bidding. There will be a time limit of 5 minutes set for bids. At the end of the five minutes, the person with the highest bid will be announced the winner. All people are encouraged to bid whatever amount they want as there has been a very generous donation to cover any bids that can’t be covered. (This is so that those characters with low funds are able to keep up with characters that have an exorbitant amount of funds available)

Ultimately it will be up to the one auctioned if there will be written or vapored results of being auctioned. We want and encourage anyone to write but do not want anyone to feel forced to. I will leave it between players to come to an agreeable determination of what happens on each ‘date’.

No fighting, bad mouthing, weapons, or anything disruptive will be allowed. Tranquility Ballroom is a place made for everyone to have fun and be entertained, please let’s respect each other and each other’s characters and have a good time with this!

We want to keep this fair as possible but also make sure everyone does get bid on so if you have already won an auction and see that there are others bidding that haven’t won, perhaps refrain from bidding on the person being auctioned. Try to limit your wins to just two.

At the end of the day, this is just a fun way for us all to get together and have a good time. Let’s all just take the opportunity and do just that. We at The Tranquility Ballroom are so happy everyone is coming together to make this a spectacular event!
