Another grand challenge, and again it was my honor and privilege to be chosen to officiate!

Tonight we saw challenger Haru Jeong square off against my dear friend Mart Di’luna in a best of three match up to determine which of them was worthy of becoming or remaining the Opal ShadoWeaver’s custodian. This was a fast paced challenge that only required two full fights for the rock to make its decision on the matter.

Mart started strong with first blood in both matches. The first was a treacherous climb in which Haru stayed close on his coat tails. They evened out the score in the second and fourth rounds, then again in the seventh until wowing us with a SUDDEN DEATH in round eight. Mart quickly secured his victory in the ninth at a close score of 5 to 4.

Mart showed us his superior skills in the second match, however. Not only did he score the first point, but he gained an early lead of two to nothing in round two. Haru made a comeback to tie up the score again in the fourth, but after that Mart took the lead again and ran full speed ahead away with it to the very end. Ducking skillfully under a wild spinkick banked Mart his victory in the seventh round with a final score of 5 to 2.

Nice try, Haru! Better luck next time! Congratulations on your defense, Mart!
