Sarengrave House

Sarengrave House, relocated from its original location in Battlefield Park to Dragon’s Gate, was named in memory of Lirssa Redbane Sarengrave al-Amat, who passed away in 2018. Through High Spires House and the Kids of Summer Foundation, Lirssa dedicated a great deal of her time and energy to aid the young people of Rhydin.

This project was developed to provide a home, educational and job resources for the displaced youth of Rhydin, between the ages of 12-22 years. The sub-basement level has apartments for light sensitive individuals, as well as several reinforced containment areas for those learning to cope with their shape-shifting/were-creature abilities. The basement level houses a pool, as well as exercise and game rooms. The ground floor is reserved for four shops ( a diner, tailor shop, cosmetology lab, and Homecrafts at Sarengrave House) to help provide training and work experience for the residents. The first floor houses a library/media center, two classrooms and the resident assistant/counselor’s apartment.

Homecrafts at Sarengrave House is where residents can consign their handmade goods to be sold to the general public. There is a storefront link between the shop and Twilight Market.

We work with local schools and businesses to expand educational and job opportunities. Anyone in the appropriate age group that is already involved in a vocational or educational program is welcome to inquire about housing.

Basic apartment layout for Sarengrave House. Kitchen has all major appliances including stackable washer and dryer. Max of two of full time residents per room (bed pictured is full sized, but may be replaced with two twin size beds.)

Residents are offered transportation to local schools including Rhydin High, Harker's Academy, and the non-resident program for Umbra School of Magical Arts. Students also have the basic education classes on site. The in-house program currently utilize the science lab as well as the art and dance studios at the ROCBG.

Students, age fifteen and up, are encouraged to take part in one of the many job opportunities offered by Sarengrave House's partner businesses including:

Tailor Shop - Students learn to make and repair clothing in this shop. This is onsite job training as well as part or full time employment. Some ready made items are available for sale.
