Mist had lived in the old cave for quite a long time, taking it over from the old sage and renovating it considerably. It had been quite dark and damp and worse, the old sage had a legendary collection of porn stored in the one dry room of the system.

Over the years, Mist had the system improved, and truth be known, funded much of it by selling off the vintage magazines, films, and videos to local collectors. A firm of dwarves were always called in when he wanted to expand or to change anything. When Amaris arrived, she fell in with the stone masons and they happily taught her to sap, finish, carve, and polish.

So what had been a stodgy hole in the side of a hill slowly became a wonder of whimsy and art nouveau...
