Challenge for Seaside - Third Time's the Charm?

Post by Ebon Ilnaren »

Salvador,

Congratulations on your defense tonight! However, if your offer is still open, I would like a rematch for the Barony of Seaside.

We have an epic duel last time, let's have another. I'll contact you to work out the details.

While Salvador's defense last night is not considered official until the next standings post, he is a Renegade and open to all challenges. However this is not part of a challenge queue, and thus the Baron will have the full time allowed for acceptance and scheduling.

Ebon,

Yes my offer still stands. Take Seaside from me and the money is yours.

I accept your challenge and look forward to fighting you again.

Catalan-style Greens with Garlic, Sultanas, and Pine Nuts

Escalivada

Patatas Bravas with Allioli

Romesco de Peix

Eggplant, Pepper, and Goat Cheese Coca (Catalan Pizza)

With desserts provided by Ariana’s Divine Delights Bakery.

Both establishments were kind enough to allow gatito into their kitchens so he could help out.

This challenge happened tonight and it was great!

Ebon fought under the silver-on-black banner of an eight-pointed star, the symbol of his family. His seconds were Doran Ilnaren and Rachael Blackthorne, and his ladies of honor included his wife Phen and daughters Azure and Olivia.

Sal fought under no colors or banner. His Second was Gatito, and his people of honor were his family.

The baron selected a best-of-three format for his attempt at his fourth defense!

As the challenge began, Sal was first on the board! Ebon held him off for a few rounds, including a trade of blows, but Sal eventually extended his lead. Ebon briefly tightened the gap with a fierce defense, but Sal quickly had him back on the ropes and closed it out!

FINAL: Delahada def. Ebon Ilnaren, 5 - 2 in 9 rounds.

The second fight was fast on the heels of the first, but this time it was Ebon who was first on the board. Salvador immediately tied things back up, but Ebon pulled ahead again. Tied once more at 3-3, the question was who would get to matchpoint first! Salvador answered the question, finding his first lead of the match with one point left to perfect his defense. A solid, unbreakable defense ended the fight in his favor!

FINAL: Delahada def. Ebon Ilnaren, 5 - 3 in 8 rounds.

Salvador notches his fourth defense of Seaside! Congratulations to the Baron! Well-tried, Ebon!
