Sylista set up close to the rings with Mathian, the fiery glittering sign set up on the ground next to them and a variety of noisemakers set up on the table for people to grab if they wanted.

Tonight I got to call for Haru's challenge to Maggie for the Tower of Water! It was a fun set of duels that went to all three matches!

As Keeper, Maggie chose to defend in the elemental ring, Poseidon, for all three duels.

The perimeter of the ring erupts in a tidal surge, lifting to the skies and beyond, the peak far past the clouds, creating a solid pillar of oceanic water. Within, a wild coral reef and pearly-white sands gurgle and crash upwards to form the ground level and first ten feet of space within which the Keeper and his/her opponent may seek cover or an advantageous position. Fish and aquatic beasts of all manner, magical and mundane, swim freely throughout the pillar while the Keeper of water and his/her opponent duel on this watery battlefield, miraculously able to breathe beneath the supposed ocean's surface. Ring POSEIDON has arisen!

The first match opened up with some back-and-forth between the two friends, but once Haru got the lead back in Round 3 he held it all the way through to the finish, taking the first match of the night 5-1 in seven rounds!

Although the second match of the evening started out much like the first, with a half-point for Haru and then a full point for Maggie, the Keeper then expanded her lead only for Haru to draw close once again. It was anyone's match for several rounds until a trade in round 8 which saw Haru with the stronger attack, but Maggie with the full point lead she needed for the win. On to the third match!

Once more they seesawed back and forth in the early rounds, but Maggie pulled ahead in round 5 and 6, coming within a half-point of winning. Haru stalled her momentum with a quick defense, but wasn't able to keep her from getting that fifth point in the next round.

Maggie Harker has successfully defended the Tower of Water! Well tried, Haru!
