This Barony has not been tested in the rings since the fullness of the summer. I bear no particular disdain for the current holder, but I loathe those instances where a Baron make it to a full year by way of the dueling population's neglect and apathy.

There are two challenges in the arena that night. If there are no objections from the Challenger and Baron involved in this one, the family of the Baroness of Dragon's Gate will be covering the cost of food from Wolves Den Bistro and drinks during both.

Attention, citizens and spectators! It was my honor and privilege to be chosen as the officiator for the Old Temple challenge tonight!

Our challenger, Anubis Karos fought under a black flag with a cobra twisting through a silvery Eye of Ra. Sylista Shadowsoul acted as his Second this evening, and his Lady of Honor was Tetra.

Baron Mart Di’luna fought under a banner of black, bordered in silver. Emblazoned upon, a silver Mallorn tree, sitting under a crescent moon of the same color. His Second this evening was Jaycy Ashleana, and he listed his Person of Honor as Morgan LaFey.

The Baron chose a single match format for this challenge, and let me tell you, it was a real nailbiter! Both combatants came out of the gates aggressive and match points in the first round with double thrusts! They traded cuts, high and low, in the very next round, keeping the score even. By round four, Baron Di'luna managed to take the lead, only for Lord Karos to tie things back up in the next, and then take the lead for himself in round six! The seventh round, Mart tied things right back up, taking us to an edge of our seats SUDDEN DEATH! In the eighth and final round, Baron Di'luna cut into Anubis' retreating defense and secured himself the win at a final score of 5 to 4 in eight total rounds.

Congratulations on a challenging defense, Baron Di'luna! Nice try on attempting to take the title, Lord Karos! Better luck next time!
