Amaris walked into the arena and pinned her pretty stationery up on the cork before hopping off.

Amaris,

First and foremost let me congratulate you on your excellent victory! Few can say they've taken home an All-Ranks Tournament or previously a Warlord's Tournament(I'm not among them!), so you joining their ranks is incredible. I happily accept your challenge and I'm looking forward for the chance to duel you for the title of Overlord. The 6th would be great, any time is fine by me and any caller you find is also acceptable. If you have any themes in mind for a fun challenge night I'm all ears.

Sincerely,

The OverHope

All set up! See you at 8 pm by the eastern clock, Conner agreed to call. I'm not sure about the fun part... maybe a food fight or pie in the face booth... mmmm pie. I mean I'll let people toss a pie in my face! What do you think?

A small note was tacked on the board.

I strongly object to any pie being tossed. Use cake instead.

Monday, Mist and Amaris were up early to get ready for the challenge. They spent most of the morning making the cookies to share: Pinata Unicorn Cookies! The sugar cookie shells were filled with little candy stars and sprinkles, making for a happy mess when eaten!

Once they had a few...or... several dozen, they were off to the Arena!

This here challenged happened this night in the Arena! All were present along with more cookies than were really reasonable.

Amaris were represented by her very own sparkly banner created by her sis Maggie and Colleen and herself. Her seconds were her Aunt Rachael and her big brother Haru. Her persons of honor were her family of honor: Roni, Lily, Mist, Benny, Haru, Maggie, the kitten brigade, Rachael, Des, Reiko, and all the family who has had her back all supporting and cheering her on.

Hope were represented by a banner of the white and gold Real Rhydin logo. Her second were Jaycy. And her people of honor were her Real Rhydin family.

This were a test-free challenge consistent with the grant Amaris earned at the ART. The Overlord still had choice of format, but she offered her choice over to her opponent. Amaris then selected a best-of-three.

The first match started with a solid lead being built by Hope. Dressed in a peculiar bouncy suit-of-armor, the lass careened and collided her way around the ring, keeping Amaris from landing any significant blows.

FINAL: Hope def. Amaris, 5 - 0.5 in 8 rounds.

In the second match, Hope opened with an early lead, even without the defensive suit she wore in the previous match. Using a jade glove she quickly had the upper hand. But Amaris literally let the claws out, and the fight proceeded to see-saw back and forth with Amaris seeing her first lead of the night. The match came down to sudden death, but in the end Amaris' claws found home.

FINAL: Amaris def. Hope, 5 - 4 in 10 rounds.

In the third and final fight, Hope and Amaris were both looking cautious, but eventually Hope broke through and found several points. Amaris were not making it easy and she answered more than once, but in the end Hope found her way to matchpoint. Amaris kept up her challenge still and looked like she might be able to work it back, but eventually Hope managed to pick up her final point and completed the defense.

FINAL: Hope def. Amaris, 5 - 3 in 13 rounds.

Well-won, Overlord Hope! Well-tried, Amaris!
