Snowy Celebrations on Twilight Isle!

Post by Max Lager »

Come help decorate the Winter Tree on Twilight Isle!

There is a lone fir tree surrounded by snow on the Isle (follow the twinkling lighted paths to find it!) and we’re asking for everyone’s assistance in helping decorate it and make it beautifully festive for all to visit and see! You’re welcome to bring an ornament to share and hang, to string up popcorn and lights, tinsel or candy canes or even notes of good wishes and tidings for the coming new year! Nearby you can find helpful goblins with ornament making kits or other various supplies to add to the tree free of charge!

We look forward to seeing everyone making a visit to Twilight Isle for this!

((OOC: Please feel free to include a picture, post or live play down below to help decorate the tree! Happy Holidays and have fun!! ))

A little bit of Winter Wonderlands has trickled off onto the Isle this month! Come out and explore (or even duel inside!) the unmelting Ice Castle that has magically appeared on the Isle for the rest of this month! It’s a labyrinth of twists and turns, filled with lights and cheer! Will you find the playful water fae creatures who built it or will they continue to hide just out of sight and giggle in the walls of the castle? Keep an eye on your sweets if you set them down inside, they just might disappear with the fae creatures taking it as an offering!
Image
And there are some special sweet treats available on the Isle this month as well!
Try the cinnamon apple fries with cream cheese dip! Warm roasted mixed nuts and the holiday cheese balls and crackers if you’re feeling snacky!
Image
There’s small sweet bites too for your sweet tooth so come taste the chocolate cake bites, the gingerbread macaroons and the cranberry whipped dreams!
Image
Cozy drinks to bring on the warmth and good cheer keeping everyone jolly all month long are also available!
To drink there is the special snickerdoodle hot chocolate, traditional hot chocolate topped with chocolate whipped cream in festive collectible mugs, and even white Christmas cocktails for those who enjoy the holiday spirits!

Yuzuki had fun making a simple ornament when she got word of the festivities, and was present to add it to the Winter Tree.

Abby and Madison helped their mother pick out several ornaments. On top of the tree, glowing with a bit of magical light was Mickey Mouse.

Josette took her time to add some handmade edible ornaments for any animals of the Isle that wished to partake of the treats. Of course Vie was at her side as well! The mischievous, pixie dust sneezing weasel was being surprisingly well behaved! A soft smile formed as she heard a chorus of music from winged friends in the background before she began to sing very softly, “Repeat the Sounding Joy....repeat the Sounding Joy...”

Scarlett had heard of the festivities on The Isle and decided to make her way there during the night. At first she was overwhelmed by the variety of colors and sparkles. Confused, she had spent most of the night talking to Yuzuki who so graciously explained everything to her. She even learned what a snow man was! With the help of her little mechanical spider, she had set to the task of creating an ornament to hang on the tree. It wasn't as pretty as all the others that everyone else had brought but it was unique and it was hers! From one of the branches now hung a snowflake made of gears and metal, tied to the branch with a black ribbon pulled from her own dress. Happy with her contribution, Scarlett left with a dozen questions still floating around in her head. Or was that sugar plumbs?

The wind picked up, spinning around the snow until a hole opened. Amaris and Mist stepped onto the island. Looking around Amaris spotted the beautiful twinkling lit path and started to dance forward down it a small box in her hands. Mist laughed as he followed her down the path. Amaris came to a stop and looked up.

"OOO the tree is so pretty; I love that all kinds of others are gonna put up an ornament. Since I came here this has always been my favorite thing to do see all the different ornaments put up."

Mist came up behind her, noting the large tree and then smiling down at Amaris

“So, what ornament did you pick?”

Amaris opened the box and pulled out a small glass roller skate, Mist tilted his head curiously as Amaris filled him in.

“I figured that since I won my first IFL on roller skates, that I would get a pretty roller skate to put on the winter tree. What do you have?”

Amaris started to skitter around the tree looking for the best place as Mist fell in step behind her planning to hang his ornament next to hers.

“I found an exact replica of my new car, so I thought I’d get that to put on the tree.”

Amaris smiled brightly and found the perfect spot, hanging up her ornament mist following after. They would step back and smile happily as Amaris fidgeted. After a few moments, Amaris turned and looked up at Mist

“Hey, dad can we go to Twilight Tacos? I want a ‘who you callin’ Shrimp' and a 'cheesecake Taco'…. PLEASE?!”

With a soft chuckle and nod, the two started towards the twilight tacos.

At some point, someone -- perhaps Bailey, perhaps one of his proxies -- put up a series of miniaturized marble statue ornaments on the Winter Tree. There was one for each of the proxies who had been subbing in for Bailey in recent months. Cuervo with a surfboard in one hand, getting ready to pour a drink over their head. The mottled pink-and-white marble statue making heart-hands. The proxy with the black marble evil mustache, pretending to twirl it. And a green marble statue holding a metal detector.

Dris popped onto Twilight Isle on Friday night (the 11th) in the company of his boyfriend Rhys. The bard hung an ornament on the tree that he felt best represented his very heart and soul.

Rhys accompanied Dris to the Isle on the Eleventh to hang an ornament. In contrast to his boyfriend’s delicate and artistic heartsong, Rhys hung a snowflake ornament he had welded together out of gears and other metals he had in his workshop. He smiled when he saw another clockwork snowflake elsewhere on the tree.

Rachael's measured strides took her along the proper path to the Christmas tree. She soon hung a small iridescent globe ornament on the tree. Holographic images on the ornament's surface flashed in alternating rotation. Among the images were groups of various coloured kittens in different groupings, along with a ginger Tom and a white Persian Queen, and a handsome raven haired and bearded man paired with the Mage Emeritus.

Anya had hung her ornament quickly, in a tucked away part of the tree. It was a glass globe containing chips of rose quartz, lavender, violet and cinnamon. It had been filled with good intentions.

On her way back to the Tower of Air, Karma hung a simple, handpainted bauble upon the tree

Eregor stopped by the tree to add a clear glass ornament containing a holiday tree within. When gently shaken, the white flakes swirled around like blowing snow.
