Challenge of Fire

Black and white, was the way that most people decided to look at the world. Good and evil and varying degrees of right and wrong. The omnipotent view of what was happening around them was something she couldn't control. She was a silver soul stranded in the astral sea and was looking for a ship to return home on.

Black and white, was the chessboard that floated somewhere in this place between the abyss and the hells. The pieces floated and the white pieces found themselves under fire, melting, and rising up from the board were green pieces. Xune could see all of this happening watching from a distance away and her mouth moved but no words came out. She slammed her hands against a wall that did not exist. The chair across the green pieces would remain empty. Long moments passed before the black tower on the chessboard caught on fire. Xune's voice warbled by time and distance would never reach. She summoned her black book to her hand. That language that sounded like the barking of dogs. "qxd kx iod"

The castle on the board, on fire, cast a shadow over the blood Witches domain.

*By magical means, a challenge for the Tower of Fire appeared on the corkboard.*
